T W O • years ♥

happy second birthday to my baby, I V Y O A K S 🎈

year two was something special! it was the year we became our own. the year we let our designs speak for themselves & the year y’all started to say “hey, that’s ivy oaks!”

for real, those comments blew us away.. & continue to! when our work is recognized in the wild, it’s a craaaazy feeling!

i am so proud of this brand. so proud of the hard work & love poured into making each and every event, big or small, perfect!! i couldn’t be more grateful for my incredible team — for the family, friends & freelancers that have come alongside us in countless ways to show support & offer a helping hand. we wouldn’t be us without each of you!!!

A LOT has changed in this last year! we moved studio locations (s/o to the BEST DJ’s in the land — i love creating alongside them each and every week). we made hard decisions + pivoted business goals, we went on our first business trip (SO FUN) and most importantly IO gained a soon to be dad (.mclaughlin + i got engaged.. surprise if ya didn’t already know 💍)

with the engagement, we welcomed Tyler to the team!! let’s be honest, he’s been the #1 employee for over a year now, but now that we know he’s staying around 😉 we figured we’d make it *official*!!

a glimpse into the styled shoot backstory..

in november we had the opportunity to flower for an incredible bride, Meghan! her design was a neutral girlies ✨dreaaaam — full of earthy tones, creamy whites & touches of soft, dusty pinks! she had a grand fireplace install that we started off with pops of dried hydrangea. stopping to take in the look (not nearly 1/4 of the way done) we thought..

“WOW, an entire install of these hydrangeas would be INCRED!!”

flash forward 6 months — the long awaited vision brought to life!!! thanks for the vision 😘
