Today Officers from B Squad stopped by the Early Childhood Center and students had an opportunity to talk with Officers and see our Police Cruisers up close and how they operate and what our roles are as Police Officers in helping keep our community safe.
Thank you, Lincoln County Fire Protection District #1, for visiting our students today! They loved learning all about your job and equipment during community helper day.

Due to the ongoing historic heat and humidity, LCR3 will follow a special early release schedule on Thursday and Friday, 8/24 and 8/25. Additional details on release times for each building can be found on the District's website, www.troy.k12.mo.us.
Additionally, the following TBHS athletic events have been rescheduled:
Football vs Holt-Saturday @ 7PM
Lead Off Softball Classic-Saturday beginning at 8AM
JV Softball Tournament at Washington-Saturday
Golf v Holt-TBD
Tennis v Holt-TBD
TMS Football will be held at 9 and 10:30 am at TBHS.

Dr. Penny and the Central Office Staff came to give us the most exciting news today! That all of our teachers are special at ECEC and that our own Karen Oprendek was extra special as she was the Teacher of the Year! We were all so excited to share in her celebration! Congratulations Mrs. Oprendek!

Hope to see you this evening for a free informational Parents' Night. There will be free food and free babysitting. It is going to be held at Troy Middle School -Gym entrance. The event is from 6:30 to 8:00.

We have more prizes to be awarded with our book blast event! The student with the highest dollar amount of contributions from each grade level will be awarded a $100 Book Blast shopping spree. The student with the highest dollar amount of contributions in the school will be awarded an additional $100 Book Blast shopping spree. The shopping spree awards are a fun way to add more books to your student's home library!
Our voyage starts tomorrow when we will cast off in search of book treasure. Once you receive your treasure map, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to complete it for a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and even an apple iPad! But even better, you'll be starting the journey to earning all 10 books on the Treasure Map book list. Heave ho let's go readers!
