In case you're wondering why most of Glenshire is without power...

Happening now: Truckee Fire is on scene of a power pole on fire near Olympic Heights. Liberty Utilities is on scene and has proactively shut power off the to affected line. This has cause a power outage for approximately 1200 of their customers. Notifications about the outage have been sent by Liberty to their customers. It is unknown how long this outage will last.

Enrichment class sign-ups are Tuesday, September 10th at 7:30am. You'll need the SignUpGenius link, available on our website. Scholarships available!

Just a friendly reminder that auditions for Glenshire-2-Broadway's "Frozen Jr" is tomorrow (Friday) at 8am in the GES Gym/MPR. Check out our PTO website for more info and to print the intake form. Grades 4 and 5 only.

Anna’s sister Elsa has a secret she’s been keeping since they were young. On the day of Elsa’s coronation as Queen, things go terribly wrong and the town is FROZEN. Anna, with the help of friends, Kristoff, Sven, and a snowman named Olaf, head out to find Elsa and save Arendelle. Speaking roles, dance roles, and singing roles for up to 40 students.

Performances November 21st at 10AM and 5:30PM

At Glenshire Elementary, we love being sent to the principal's office because Mrs. Kuttel is there! Exuding all the positive pink vibes, Rachael among students, parents, and staff. From running the school halls to owning the dance floor, Rachael is bringing the indomitable Glenshire Eagle spirit to DWOSS!

Rachael shared: "I am honored to be Star in this year’s Dancing with the Sierra Stars. I am a Truckee native and TTUSD alumni currently serving as the principal of Glenshire Elementary School. I have worked within the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District for 18 years with a diverse background ranging from general education to special education at all grade levels. I am excited to support InnerRhythms’ mission of offering dance to everyone knowing how many of our students benefit from the healthy space InnerRhythms has created for dance and the arts in our community."

GES Family Movie Night is this Friday, March 8 at 5p! The event is free and open to all GES students with an accompanying parent (no drop-offs please). "Wreck-It Ralph" is the featured film. Popcorn and limited light snacks will be available for purchase, but feel free to bring your own snacks/dinner and water bottle.

A Night Without Reading is Ruff 2024 Friday, February 9th, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, is Family Reading Night with RUFF- Reading Up For Fun - at the GES library. Truckee-Tahoe Humane Society volunteers will be there with their dogs (and 1 cat). Kids will have the opportunity to read to our furry friends and enjoy a cookie and mandarin oranges....
