All work and no play just isn’t the Oshkidee way!
At our September Serve we enjoyed beautiful weather all weekend long which made for the perfect mix of work and play as we prepared the facilities for our winter lease groups. A HUGE thank you to everyone who chose to spend their long weekend serving the needs of our ministry!

Our first annual Family Fun Night Fundraiser was a HUGE success bringing in just over $13,000 in support of the Camp Oshkidee Ministry! We feel SO blessed by our amazing camper community who came out and gave so generously so that we can continue ministering to families for many more years to come!

WEEK C RECAP!

Family Camp kicked off with a week of blazing heat which kept our crew in and on the water from dawn til’ dusk! Special shoutout to our fleet of swimmers and buddy boaters who tackled the annual island swim challenge!!! What was YOUR highlight of the week?! Tell us in the comments!

There is something truly special about volunteering as a family. At Camp Oshkidee our Serve Weekends are all about providing the opportunity for families to grow in relationship with one another and give back to God, together.
We were SO encouraged to see such a large turnout for our May long Serve Weekend with volunteers of all ages ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and get down to work in preparation for another season of ministry!
There was a lot of rain, and a little bit of sun but we made the most of both, in work and play! We’ve said it before, and we’ll keep on saying it: this ministry exists because of our volunteers - we could not do this without each and every one of you! THANK YOU for your continued generosity and commitment to this ministry!

Join us at Serve Weekend May 17 - 20!
With another season of ministry just around the corner, it’s time to head up to the lake and get things done! We have multiple projects in the works for this weekend, and we need all the help we can get. From general cleaning and labour, to carpentry and more there are so many ways that YOU can be of service!

There is no charge for attending a Serve Weekend; your meals + accommodations are complementary and your children are welcome to join you for this opportunity to serve and grow together! Childcare will be provided!

Susan ‘Chipper’ Block passed peacefully in her sleep early this morning, celebrating her 100th birthday in paradise with her Lord and Saviour - and her hunnie, ‘Chips’.

From bonfires to water beetle bonanzas, and late night games in the Lodge there was no end to the fun between family and friends at our September Serve Weekend!

And just like that Family Camp is officially over as we wrap up with our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Camp!
We had a truly diverse community of campers with many coming from various corners of the country and even some from the states!
It was a time for spiritual renewal and the sharing of testimony as many campers took the plunge in their journeys of faith!

That’s a wrap on Week E 2023 and what a week it was! This bunch turned some serious boat lemons into sweet lemonade when the camp boat went out of commission and the first annual camp-wide Banana Battle was born!
It just goes to show that our campers truly are what make this place so great!
