More progress at Granite Dells Park! We feel so fortunate that we've been able to utilize our landscape architecture services to be a part of this incredible project.
The waterfall plaza along the ADA accessible lake walk at the park. Our local concrete contractor and his crew have been tireless in their pursuit of excellence with this incredibly important component of the project. We are so grateful for their talents, abilities, and shared passion for their work. For generations to come, community members of all ability levels will be able to equally enjoy being in nature, and the wellness that brings.
The Survey Department at EEC has consistently invested in the latest technology, including unmanned aerial systems, LiDAR scanners, robotic stations, digital image processing software, and point cloud processing computers. Department personnel are on the cutting edge of what is possible in the field of surveying as we look toward the future.
: Did you know? It's been 25 years since EEC purchased the assets of McLaughlin Kmetty Engineers, which provided a change in direction for the Phoenix office. Our Phoenix office now provides a full range of civil engineering and environmental services.
EEC’s Dan Cleland, RLA, is currently hard at work as Project Architect for the Granite Dells Park Complex in Payson, which will consist of a park, community center, and swim center. The park will provide activity fields, a playground, hiking areas, and water features.
A few weeks ago, the new soccer/football field was completed earlier than expected to allow the Payson High football team to hold their summer camp practices.

Today is the 7th annual Professional Engineers Day! Today we recognize PEs for their commitment to improving our communities and show our appreciation for the work they do every day. To celebrate the PEs at EEC, we asked a few of them to share their thoughts on why they chose engineering, what's the best part, and what advice they have for up-and-comers.

Almost there, folks! Our new and improved website is even closer to launching, and we can't wait to showcase our new look. Stay tuned!
With our daily commutes, it's easy to take for granted all that goes into planning, designing, and maintaining our roads and streets. And considering they're all man-made, that makes these fun facts pretty amazing!

Separate offices, hybrid schedules, working remotely--none of it has prevented our EEC family from coming together each month for Employee Appreciation Day, where we celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and often test our trivia skills.
Today is National Nature Photography Day, a day to learn more about nature and enjoy capturing it at its very best. To celebrate, we gathered a few photos from some of our own EEC people, from vacations to site visits to their own backyard (literally!). They claim to be mere amateur photographers, but we beg to differ with these pros! Check out what they've captured.
For , we're reminiscing about Saguaro Trails Master Planned Community, a recently constructed, 171-acre, 600-home project. EEC provided site development and survey services that included single-family residential conceptual layout. Just look at those beautiful desert views!
May we all honor and remember the brave men and women and their families who have sacrificed so much for our country.
We're revamping our website, and we think you'll be impressed with the improvements. Stay tuned for the launch!
Check out some recent photos from our Grand Canalscape project. EEC provided design of 3.5 miles of multi-use path along the Grand Canal in Phoenix including landscaping, pedestrian lighting, drainage basins, a pedestrian bridge crossing, and 1.5 miles of drainage improvements. The primary purpose was to design and construct a safe multi-modal transportation pathway.
Warrior Village is an eight-lot, single-family, residential subdivision located in the heart of Tucson that will help eight veteran families receive a forever home free of any financial burden.
The homebuilder, Miramonte Homes, formed a non-profit 501.3c and, together with more than 50 trade partners, created a goal to provide eight deserving veteran families with the dream of home ownership.
This wonderful opportunity was made possible largely due to the generosity of Richard Studwell, who donated the land, and the trade partners, all of whom either donated materials and labor or provided their services at greatly reduced fees. Without these contributions, the home and the community could not have been built. Everything from lumber and concrete to underground pipe was donated.
The collaborative effort for this project was tremendous and couldn’t have happened without agencies such as Tucson Electric Power, Southwest Gas, and Tucson Water, who helped with design solutions for dealing with non-ideal conditions that worked for everyone.
A significant collaborator on this project is Operation Finally Home (OFH). OFH is a non-profit organization from New Braunfels, Texas, who provides mortgage-free homes and home modifications to wounded, ill, and injured military veterans, first responders, and widows of the fallen and their families in honor of their service and sacrifice to country and community. OFH partners with corporate sponsors, builder associations, builders, remodelers, developers, individual contributors, and volunteers to help these heroes and their families by addressing one of their most pressing needs—a place to call home.
EEC is honored to have been a small part of this project by providing engineering design services at a greatly reduced cost.
The Warrior Village Project won the Metropolitan Pima Alliance Award of Distinction at this year’s Common Ground Awards, which was featured in the May issue of Tucson’s TREND Report: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T3m-YVfIr3lYxRO2LoCfJhJpkkmpwRZf/view?usp=sharing
Success! After being postponed several times due to health and safety concerns, our EEC picnic was able to take place this past weekend. Our EEC family gathered to enjoy food, games, and, of course, each other's company. A great big thank you to our Party Planning Committee for putting it all together!
