💬 Jesus was never annoyed with interruptions. These interruptions were dealing with people’s lives!

☀️Happy Mother’s Day! Moms are beautiful examples of God’s sacrificial love. If imperfect humans can love us so deeply, how much more does Christ love us!

Easter has came and went and as we heard on Sunday, “Now what?” Matthew 5, the beginning of Jesus’s sermon on the mount, paints a beautiful picture of how Christians are called to live because of Jesus.

We ❤️ our Sunday school children. They did an amazing job in the Easter program today!

Happy Easter! He is Risen! The tomb was empty because his physical body was not there. His body arose and he is an image of what is to come, corruptible bodies made incorruptible! Praise Him!

This past weekend, we celebrated the Knapp’s and Bauer’s 20 years of ministry in Tucson. 💛 We thank them for their continued love and support. Our church family is blessed!

📖”Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?” -Matthew 3:13-14

💬 John the Baptist, a man dressed in camel’s hair and who ate locusts and wild honey, didn’t feel worthy to be the one to baptize Jesus. But God chose him. What is He calling us to of which we don’t feel worthy to be a part of?

📖”Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” - James 2:17-24

💬 Abraham didn’t know God was going to provide an alternative sacrifice to Isaac, his promised son, but trusted and obeyed God anyways. Abraham *lived out* his faith!
