Yesterday, our family at Ding Tea lost a piece of our heart and soul. Many of you knew Ryan, or you may have known him as Kevin or Thanh; regardless, Ryan was the life of our family here. Whether you’ve been personally touched by him or have a favorite memory or interaction with him, we welcome you to share.
We are blessed to have shared just a small fraction of his life with him. The number of lives he’s touched, smiles and days he’s made, and the laughter he’s shared in the year that we’ve known him is miniscule in the face of the 20 years that he’s been doing so for his family and friends before meeting us. With this, to his family, we are tremendously sorry for your loss, although incomparable and incomprehensible to the loss you feel, our hearts ache for you. Ryan, you were the little brother I never had. We were protégés. Your eyes always so eager and curious to learn. You always told me I was the best boss, when the truth was that your curiosity and never-ending questions were what kept me from making mistakes I would regret and pushed me to do better. I admired you more than anyone in my life. You faced challenges with eyes wide open, welcomed discomfort into your life, and planned for an ambitious future that I know you would have and should have achieved. You were an inspiration to me. Thank you for teaching me to always be doubtful of comfort and that the most common solutions may not always be the best solutions. In the New Year I wished for your success in all that you do and for us to continue making memories together. I promise you that there is a piece of you in each of us in our little Ding Tea family, and that we will continue to make those memories together, never forgetting the person that brought us all together. I know that you would want for us to all be strong but it is so much easier to imagine you walking through the back door tomorrow or the next day than to imagine that this is all true. I cherish every second that we’ve spent together and I promise you that we will all drive safe, because someone loves us, and we know that you’ll be watching. Thank you Ryan. Bye for now good sir.

This Sunday, Aug 21 we will be celebrating the Grand Opening of our Ding Tea Irvington location!
It has been a wild ride since the Grand Opening of our Speedway location not even a year ago. We never imagined the overwhelming response of love, support, and loyalty that we receive from you, Tucson, every single day. We’ve learned a lot and grown even more since Sept 19th and Ding Tea Irvington is the culmination of that.
As much as we’ve become a part of many of your daily lives, so too have you in ours. Our baristas have come to remember your faces, names, orders, customizations, and most meaningfully, your love and support. Our team has always been under the pressure of maintaining the quality and service that you’ve come to know us for, but this pressure is what makes our team run. The Ding Tea Crew thrives on the busiest rushes and the highest expectations because each and every crew member wear’s their apron with pride. Humbly, we know that we’re the best, and that every drink that we make must reflect that; this is our drive. This is why we wanted to share our pride and passion for making not drinks, but the happiness and memories they bring, to more parts of Tucson.
With that sentiment, at our newest location, our promise remains the same. We will serve you the best boba and milk tea, with exceptional service, and always strive to be a place to enjoy with friends and family. Our goal is to have every guest leave our doors happy with their drink and to have every guest excited to walk back through them.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the special moms of Tucson 💐🌹
On behalf of your families we would like to thank you all for the endless love, care, and work you do for families. There is no harder job than to be a mother and there is no school that can teach you how to be one, yet you all excel in what you do. Thank you for being your families’ rock, source of wisdom, and fountain of outpouring love. We love you all and appreciate everything you do.
We would like to take a moment to acknowledge the mom that makes Ding Tea Tucson what it is. My own mother, Stephanie. Since opening Ding Tea Tucson, there has been no one more responsible for our success in delivering the best milk tea and boba to Tucson. Most of you may recognize Sierra, Kirsten, and I (Andrew) who are there every day, but alongside us has always been our wonderful and hardworking mother, Stephanie. Without her, we would be nowhere. Mom, thank you for being the hardest working person I know, for having the mental fortitude I hope to someday have, and for the love you show our family, the Ding Tea family, and Tucson every day.
Happy Mother’s Day mom, and to all of our wonderful mothers of Tucson ❤️
To celebrate all of our special mothers, we will be closed Sunday May, 08th. We thank you all for your understanding and endless loyalty, and hope to see you back, thirsty for milk tea and boba on Monday May 9th.
*if you’ve read this far, you deserve to know… that the opening of our second location is COMING SOON. It has been getting hard to hide, some of you have already sent us photos of the new sign going up 😂 Our new location will be located on Irvington Road in the Cardena’s shopping center and we are hoping for a grand opening within the next 2 months! Stay tuned for updates!

EVERYTHING IS BACK IN STOCK!
It’s been a while since out last post, and many things have changed for our little boba shop since our Grand Opening last September.
We would like to share a little bit about our journey throughout the last 5 months but would like to preface everything by expressing how humbled we are by your overwhelming support and love for not only our drinks but our team here at Ding Tea Tucson.
It has been a pleasure meeting every single one of you who have walked through our doors and serving you what we believe is the best and most authentic milk tea in town, always made with the most care and attention to our end goal of making sure each of you are happy with your drinks and excited for your next visit.
We would like to acknowledge our whole team for the hard work and long hours that it has taken to get us to this point. Many of you already know Sierra and I (Andrew) but it takes a family to run this ship. We would like to take a second to recognize Jade: Our amazing manager, Jena: Our tea and boba chef, and Trycia, Christina, and Mari: our phenomenal bobaristas.
Every single day, this crew helps you craft the perfect drink and topping combinations and serves up more drinks than a couple of your local Starbucks combined at a quarter of the wait time.
Since our opening, you have helped us earn a spot in Doordash’s Top 10 restaurants in Tucson and a designation as Doordash’s Most Loved in Tucson for 5 months running.
However little this may seem, we take these accomplishments to heart, as it helps us know that we’re doing something right. We hope that we have been able to bring you the best milk tea we can make, provide you service worth returning for, and that we can continue to do so with each coming day.
Thank you Tucson. For loving us. Supporting us. And for sharing your love for milk tea and boba with us.
Wanna know something crazy and bittersweet?
We’ve been open intermittently for about a week now as a trial run as we’re getting prepared for our Grand Opening next Sunday Sept 19th and when we say your support has been overwhelmingly amazing, we mean it.
In the last week, you our boba besties (coined by .le_), have finished our 6 month supply of black boba 😳
We are so humbled by your consistent support, the sight of so many of you or your names on our DoorDash orders almost everyday throughout the last week, the videos you guys have made about us, your shares, stories, and relentless good wishes and congratulations. We love you Tucson!! We hope to continue doing our best and to always make the drinks you love and can’t wait to officially open our doors to you all.
On a more serious note, we are all out of our black boba, but not to worry, we have plenty of our signature golden boba which is cooked the same way and soaked in the same delicious brown sugar secret sauce. For the next couple of months we will be offering only golden boba instead of both black and golden and drinks like the monster bobo latte will use our golden boba in monster bobo sauce instead. We hope you understand and we apologize for any inconvenience that this will cause any of you. But in all honesty, we did not expect the overwhelming support that we’ve been given and for that, we are tremendously grateful for. Thank you Tucson.
With love,
