Tucson Alliance of Black School Educators
The Tucson Alliance of Black School Educators (TucABSE) is a Local Affiliate of the National Allianc
The purpose of TucABSE is to promote and facilitate quality education for all students, particularly students of African descent, through the establishment of coalitions, fostering of recruitment and retention of teachers of color, and the creation of opportunities to engage in research-based strategies that promote teaching and learning.
Friends, it has been awhile since TUCABSE has been active. But the need to stay connected is now. Check out this monthly BiPOC series and register if interested. Would love to have my sisters join me:)
Schools Transforming Reinventing Inclusive, Diverse & Equitable Systems
Hello Tucson,
It has been a labor of love to launch a Tucson affiliate of the National Alliance of Black School Educators and have the support of the Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators (AzABSE). The dialogue and advocacy are needed nationwide and here at home to support the education of our young people. Thanks to all who engaged with us in these first two years.
There is a need for TucABSE to revisit how it supports the Tucson community. With the guidance of AzABSE, the Tucson affiliate will analyze what the next chapter of the journey looks like and how we can best serve our students of color. Our regularly scheduled monthly meetings will be postponed until the revitalization efforts are determined.
Thank you so much for the support. Our students are better when we are together!
