Hand stripping is one of the specialized services Canine Couture offers. No clipping for the breeds I prefer so they are fully stripped; hard coat as it should be! I prefer to do Cairn terriers, Norfolk, Norwich and small mix breeds.

I’ve not posted lately and Kaito yelled at me and told me to take a before photo so I had to than take an after of one of our favorite doods, BIBBY! Sporting his short style for pool season of course!

What an incredible weekend! I wanted to thank Blake Hernandez for his time doing demos and facilitating testing at my salon, Canine Couture Pet Salon! I used Kaito during the hands on portion after the demos and got a lot of confidence and advice for when I use him at SUPERZOO, by WPA this August. I took and passed with a 90/100 my Non-sporting practical with Balthazar, also my curly coat prep test I passed using him as well. I went on to do 2 written tests; terrier and non-sporting. I didn’t expect to do two today but without studying at all I passed the terriers with an 87 and decided to go for the non-sporting and passed with an 86! I’m so proud of myself and my friends and fellow groomers who tested today and passed as well! We all did a great job and I’m so happy to see the flourishing community of great groomers we have in Tucson. I love that we are all dedicated to continuing education and instead of being in competition with each other we support and help each other strive to be the best we can be 💚

My little helper here is wondering if anyone has ✨Schedule Change Requests✨ for the upcoming year for Crystals clients specifically! As many of you know, I no longer will be utilizing a bathers help so my days will be back to the old one in one out only your dog and the wait time should be greatly improved because of it. 🥰 I truly appreciate all of my incredible clients who stayed with us through a very trying few years. Cheers to a New Year!

Schedule as follows:
2 & 4wk schedule rotations are on Tuesday/Thursdays/Sundays
3wk schedule rotations are on Friday
6wk rotations on Friday & Sunday

Weekdays start at 7:30am, final appointment of the day no later then 2pm.
Sunday starts at 8am and final appointment no later then 2.

Hopefully that’s not too confusing 😅

Karyna being her sweet self while this puppy gets his nails trimmed. The baby wasn’t interested in having her nails done on the table and this was Karyna’s answer to it! Pup calmed right down being in her lap instead. I love our groomers!

These three sweet doodles stop by every 6wks for their spa day! I wish I had a photo of the gold boy because up until the time before this one he had a foot of flowing puppy coat! Puppy coat is beautiful but there comes a time when it’s not practical anymore. Around 10mo large breeds go through coat change and it makes it quite difficult to keep the coat healthy during that time. Also, when summer hits our friends love to play in the water which also makes a mess of their coat. I personally took our standard poodle short during his coat change because it’s just really not usually worth the effort. Just remember, coat always will grow back!

Bentleys very first haircut was Sunday at Canine Couture! He was the sweetest little boy!

We are going to instate a no call no show fee. We work hard to fill our schedules and when we show up to work and you simply don’t show up, you are directly taking income out of my groomers pockets.

No call no shows are subjected to a $50 fee for the first time and a fee of the full grooming amount the 2nd time. After a 3rd we will no longer reschedule you. If it’s your first appointment ever with us and you no call no show to it, we understand from that experience that our time isn’t being respected from the start and therefore won’t reschedule you.

To avoid these fees, I understand that things come up. As soon as you know you need to reschedule, please just call us. Even 24hrs notice is better then nothing. I also understand at times things happen suddenly. Obviously there’s things that weren’t expected to throw a wrench in your day. We will understand! The difference is me calling finding out you aren’t coming vs you calling or texting and letting us know you can’t make it.

I don’t want to come off harshly but we are a business and to be a business we need clients. If we fill limited as it is spaces with clients who don’t respect our time then we won’t be a business for long!
