FINALLY!!! (in my best Rock voice)..

When I first started DJing again out here in Tucson, AZ I was using a little Pioneer DDJ-SB. It was all I could afford at the time. It did the job. I was fortunate enough to share gigs with some amazing DJs here, but they would come with turntables and mixer setups. I will say I was suffering from gear envy.. so soon I was able to get a turntable setup of my own.

Now, many gigs and years later, my body and strength isn't what it use to be. I was wishing that SOMEBODY made a dope controller that works as well as turntables do. Then, like a genie granting wishes releases the DDJ-REV7. This was my dream controller from the first time I saw it.

This will make all of my gigs so much easier to set up, tear down, and rock the spot as if I was still on my PLX-500s and DDJ-S9. Cuts the amount of gear i need to carry literally in half. I have waited and waited, and now can finally say I am the proud owner of this technological masterpiece.

If y'all haven't copped this book yet YOU NEED TO if you are a true Hip-Hop head. It has EVERYTHING you know and probably didn't know about the culture and all of the people that contributed to it. YOOOOOOO, if you haven't watched it yet it's the best 2 1/2 hours you can spend reminisceing and learning about the dopest group of Hip-Hop.. RUN-DMC & Jam Master Jay. Fantastic documentary.

The Black Owned Business (BOB) Festival welcomes all people and ages to come together to share in the celebration of Black business resilience. The event features interactive activities, live music, art, dance, vendors, food trucks and information about the thriving Black community in Arizona.

The passion and goal behind the festival is bringing Black businesses together statewide. Blax Friday is the largest Black business directory and app in Arizona. Since 2020, Blax Friday has hosted a Black business market called “Soul Food Wednesdays” that has grown from five vendors to 50! In collaboration with Phoenix and surrounding cities, BOB Fest is the largest Black business festival in Arizona.

As I'm djing the other night, this girl comes up to the booth and asks, "Can I aux?" Is this a thing? Do DJs just let people plug in their phones to their equipment and let them play what they want?

I just want to take the time to say thank you to the people who helped me out putting this thing together last week.

First of all to my biggest fan, my wife Angela who always pushes me to go for it.. regardless of how difficult I think things may seem. Love you baby.

Next, my brothers from other mothers and for jumping on board without question and showing everyone what Hip-Hop is all about.

Shout out to and for believing in us and giving us all the support in the world.. for the culture. Look forward to more collaborations with yall.
