Did you know there is currently a national shortage of agricultural educators at the secondary level? It is estimated that there will be hundreds of unfilled positions across the United States this year.
We know that 46 bright and hard working FFA members across Arizona could fill these positions easily. These 46 students will be recognized today as the 2024 J.R. Cullison Scholars. Stay tuned the rest of this week to see all these outstanding individuals.
The J.R. Cullison Scholar Award Program is a collective effort by Arizona Agriculture Teachers Association (AATA), Arizona Agricultural Education/FFA Foundation, Arizona Department of Education, and University of Arizona, and Dept of Agricultural Education, Technology & Innovation to generate a pipeline of prospective students when promoting a career teaching school-based agriculture.
