JULY 22, 1990- the Tucson thrift shop and a neighboring store are scorched in a massive fire that lives on in TTS history forever. The store had been open for 11 years and owner Arlene had just lost her father / co owner 2 years before. Through dedication, perseverance, and a team of passionate employees (1990 employee pic on last slide) TTS was able to restart and continue business. This was only the first time we’ve been completely destroyed and rebuilt; stay tuned into future posts to hear more about our rich history.

It’s our 45th anniversary of business! In 1979, Arlene opened the Tucson Thrift Shop with her father and we have been a 4th Avenue staple ever since, providing the community with vintage and new fashions from around the world. Thank you, Tucson, for supporting the Tucson Thrift Shop through thick and thin, we are so happy to still be here! 🎉
