HAPPY NATIONAL VETERINARY TECHNICIAN WEEK! 🐾💉🩺
Thank you to all current and past vet techs, we thank and appreciate all you guys do! Don't forget to thank your technicians this week 😊🥰🥳
Hello everyone!
As many of you may know, Dr. Hutchison is our only doctor on site. Our clinic is constantly growing with new clients, new patients and we're all so thankful for it. The doctor needs extra time specifically for reviewing cases and following up with owners. We are currently going to change our clinic hours; Monday thru Thursday we will be open from 9 to 5 for surgeries, doctor visits and for technician visits. Fridays we will be open from 10am to 2pm for technician appointments ONLY and for anyone needing to pick up medications. We're sorry if this causes any inconvenience but hope you'll understand.
On a different note, please enjoy this beautiful picture of our clinic and fall decorations!
Ms. Loki got her first acupuncture. She loved her acupuncture with electrotherapy and she got aquapuncture of B12. She did so amazing! Look at that sweet happy face! 🐶🐾
Happy National Farrier's Week from Pegasus! Thank you Farrier's for all the hard work you do!🐴🐮
It's official, we have started an Instagram page! Follow us and watch out for our future posts!

Valentines Day is almost here! As this may be a very fun and romantic time for us, it's not always for our four legged fur babies. Just a friendly reminder to be careful.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! All of Pegasus is wishing everyone and all their four legged fur babies happy and safe Holidays! ❄️☃️🎄
Wanting to let all of our clients know, we will be closed for the Holidays starting 12/23 til 1/2. We will be back opened on 1/3. Very sorry if this causes anyone any inconvenience.
Happy National Dog Day to all the fur babies out there! 🐶🐾
There's a sweet lab up for adoption! See below.
Kimi is a healthy Senior Lab mix desperately needing a new loving home where she can feel SAFE with her forever family.
She's med sized, about 60 lbs, calm, good with non aggressive dogs and also cats. No history with kids, but loves walks and not too rambunctious, but curious sniffs, and likes you be brushed.
She was recently rehomed here when my Mom had to go to assisted living but our Boxer doesn't accept her, and attacked poor Sweet Kimi.
Please contact Pam Johnston @319 537 1003.
August is National Dog Month! Starting off this month we have Jack. He is the sweetest 2 year old dog you could possibly ever meet. Jack is young and happy but sadly has gone through a lot. He came to us with a reoccurring ear problem that no one could fix and constantly in pain. We did all the treatments and test you can think of, everything came back normal and no treatment helped. Finally we found out that he had valley fever and started the treatment. Oddly enough his ear problem was improving once starting the valley fever medication, all though he is not 100% back to himself JUST yet, he is definitely on his way and feeling better already.
Meet Joey. He's currently looking for a new home. He's a neutered male tabby, 3 years old and extremely sweet. Current owners describe him as easy-going, lap cat and great personality. He would be best suited for an elderly person. If interested please contact as at (520)-296-0480 or email at [email protected]
Guess what time it is? It's snake and toad avoidance training time! We are holding another snake and toad avoidance training here at our clinic on Wednesday June 1st. If interested please call us at (520)-296-0480 or email us at [email protected] for more details.
See not all vet visits are scary. Look at Marsy having fun and being silly at her first visit to Pegasus. 😊🐶
HAPPY NATIONAL PUPPY DAY! 🐶
This pup did amazing for his snake avoidance training. Was definitely interested at first but by then end of it he was telling his owner "No! Stay back!"
Here is some pictures from our Snake and Toad avoidance training from Tuesday at our clinic with Dr. Vanya Moreno's Animal Magnetism. They all did amazing!
"In alliance with University of California, Davis, (Jane E. Sykes, DVM, DACVIM, Medicine and Epidemiology, UC Davis Veterinary Medicine) we are beginning a long-term prospective research project to study outcomes of treatment of coccidioidomycosis in dogs. This web-based study provides a unique opportunity to engage with dog owners and follow the patient over time by having them respond to surveys at predetermined time points for at least one year after diagnosis of valley fever. This will help improve evidence-based treatment protocols for canine valley fever and catalog outcomes like mean length of time to recovery, adverse effects of medication, and poor responses requiring a medication change. Because we plan to follow 500-600 dogs, we also expect to be able to evaluate how many cases present as primary pneumonia vs. disseminated disease, and we may be able to get an updated assessment of breed disparities in disease severity. We will also learn if there are differences in disease presentation and management in California vs. Arizona. Because it is web-based, we may also discover emerging regions of valley fever in dogs." -SAVMA

Meet Samwise! Samwise is a 5 year old intact male Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He is in search of a new home. Current owners describe him as "Samwise (age 5) loves to interact with humans of all ages. He’s basically a big teddy bear. He’s been a good buddy for our son who is now 8. He has a nice, deep bark that belies his actual size, so he can make a good guard dog. He is protective of his home and yard. He is smart and playful but also could use some training (obedience). He has gorgeous, soulful, honey brown eyes and beautiful fur. He doesn’t love his paws or nails touched, or his bottom washed, but we think with more exposure and training to be more cooperative he would improve." The current family who has him is growing and sadly don't have the time or energy that they feel he deserves. He's shy at first but he's an amazing little guy. If interested in being him new home and family, please contact us at (520)-269-0480 or email at [email protected]
