Had an absolutely awesome day at today in Scottsdale! Met some great people, reconnected with others and am going to try out some fabulous products! Thanks to all the companies that were there today!

Sad News....

Last Friday, February 18th, 10:10pm, my Mom left this earth to be with my grandparents and her brothers. Cord and I were there with her at Casa De La Luz Hospice when she passed, which I am so grateful for. She passed peacefully with a final smile on her face as she took her last breath.

I will be back to work on Tuesday. I have to keep busy and one of my favorite things is spending time with all of you. I will, however, be taking time off here and there for getting her affairs in order. I ask for your patience and understanding if I need to reschedule your appointment as I will probably not have much control over when somethings need to be done.

I'm also asking for patience if I get weepy and cry during our appts. I try to control it (because I'm a control freak...haha) but my heart doesn't always listen to me.

I just want you to know that I appreciate all of you.

Hello Everyone!!!

I am thrilled to announce that I have tested negative for Covid!!! I am in the process of getting your appts rescheduled. If you have a standing appt and would be ok with just waiting until your next scheduled appt, please let me know! I have limited space and it would definitely help me out.

I am so appreciative to all of you for supporting me this past week thru your kind messages. You definitely helped me keep my spirits up while I was sequestered in a bedroom all by myself!

Just a gentle reminder, please, if you are sick, reschedule your appt. I believe none of us really want to go through this ever again! If you are sick, please get tested.....and if you're not vaccinated, please consider doing so to protect yourself and others.

Dear Perfectly Polished Nails & Skincare community,

I hope this email finds you all well!

I am currently sequestered in the back bedroom of our house due to a client coming in after being sick, being tested for Covid and not getting the results back before she came in to see me. So, when she called me the next day letting me know that she tested positive, I had to make the decision to protect all of you by closing my doors until I test negative 2 times. I will be testing on Friday and again on Monday. I have no symptoms, am vaccinated and boostered and am not worried for myself but am worried about passing anything along to Pete. As you all know, he has Congestive Heart Failure which is managed by medication and is vaccinated and boostered but it still puts him at an extremely high risk, a risk that I have tried hard to mitigate for 2 years.

You all know that for the past 2 years, I have been neurotic about cleaning and trying to keep you all safe when you come in to see me. I consider my office a safe respite to all of the awful things happening out in the world. Having to close my doors because of a possible Covid exposure has shattered me.... I am so sorry that you all have to miss your appts but I hope you know that your health and safety is the most important thing to me. I had to cancel 25 appointments total over the next 6 days....

Going forward, I will be sending out an email before every appointment that will need to be signed and sent back to me....it is a series of questions about testing and symptoms and Covid exposure. If it is not signed and sent back, your appt will be cancelled. Please make sure I have a valid email for you.

It is my policy that if you are sick, no matter if it is Covid or not, that you reschedule your appointment. It is on every piece of correspondence that I send. Now, when you confirm your appt, it is an acknowledgement that you accept the policies that are on the confirmation. That means if you come in sick, I will send you home and you will be charged for the appt.

I want you to know that I appreciate all of you that have been my awesome clients, who respect my time and my business....you are the reason I come to work every day. Thank you so much for your loyalty and your friendship.

Masks will continue to be mandatory. If you are feeling any symptoms of a cold, flu or sinus infection...please cancel and reschedule your visit. Also, if you believe you have been in contact with anyone who may have Covid, I ask that you reschedule. I respectfully ask that you take as much care to help protect me and my family as I do to protect yours. If you haven't gotten your vaccination, please do it...I've already lost a good friend to Covid due to being non vaccinated....I don't want to lose any more.

The weather is finally cooperating and cooling off, the license plates are changing color and I wore a hoodie for the first time this year!!!! I hope everyone is getting ready for the holidays. I have just a few pieces of news to share.

Hello everyone!

Sorry this is a little late, I have been pretty tired from anesthesia and pain meds. Surgery went great, Doc says my knee is in great condition, the chunk of meniscus that was causing my knee to lock is now gone! I’m slowly getting my mobility back, walking without any assistance and have been religiously doing my exercises! I’m anxious to get back to work!

Just a reminder, If anyone needs any product, just shoot me a text or email and I’ll get it ordered and sent directly to you!

Thank you all for being patient with me through all the surgery. I’m positive that by the time its all done I’ll be the bionic woman!! HAHAHA!

Updated Mask Policy…..

Dear Perfectly Polished Nails & Skincare community,

As we all know, the Delta Variant of Covid-19 is running rampant in our community. It is extremely contagious and although most of us are vaccinated, it is still a threat to our health and well-being.

That is why, as much as it pains me to do, I am requiring masks to be worn in my office for all services except facials and facial waxing. I will be wearing a mask during those services. We all have someone that we know that is still in danger of getting sick from this virus and I feel that, along with getting vaccinated, it is our duty to protect those that are at the greatest risk. If you have not gotten your vaccination, I implore you to do the research by reading reputable sources and get your shot, not just for you but for your loved ones and your community. I care for each and every one of you, I just want every one to be and stay safe and healthy.

Summer is here in full blast! I hope you are all keeping cool!

I have made my knee surgery appt for August 13th. I will be closed starting the 13th and reopening on the 24th. If you have an appt during that time I will be rescheduling you during your next appt. I have plenty of openings the weeks of Aug 3rd and Aug 9th in which to schedule!

Just a reminder; cancellations within 24 hrs of your scheduled appt will be charged 1/2 of the appointment price the first cancellation, and full price of the appt every time after.

If you have been fully vaccinated, you may go maskless while in my office. If you have not, I will require a mask during the entire service….facials excluded but must wear a mask until the service starts.

HAPPY JUNE!

Hello everyone! I hope you are all staying cool! I have a couple of things I need you to know about!

1st: I am going to be having minor knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus in my rt knee. I have my MRI tomorrow (6/7) and an appointment with the surgeon on the 14th. We will schedule the surgery at that appt. I will only be off 1 week so I will be rescheduling some of you when I know the date.

2nd: I want to start a lending library at the office. It will be bring a book/take a book. If you have any books that are collecting dust around your house and would like to donate to get the library going, I will gladly accept them!

3rd: All prices on nail services will be going up as of July 1st. The cost of supplies, shipping etc has been slowly rising and I have not raised my prices in over 5 years. I appreciate your understanding on this matter! I want to be able to continue to offer you the best products for the health of your nails. Prices will be as follows:

Manicures: $29
Pedicures; $45
Polish Changes: $19
Gel Overlay: $49
Gel Fill: $41
IBS Nail Strengthening Treatment: $30

All other prices will remain the same.

And lastly:
I’d like to do a food collection for the animals at PACC. I will be accepting new unopened bags and cans of dog and cat food, treats and blankets. I will accept items from now until August 30th! I will be making a delivery run once a week. All donations are appreciated!!!

Less than a week left!!!!

Hello everyone!!!!

Only 5 days left!!!! I hope you guys are as excited as I am!!!
I just wanted to let you know that the online booking has been reactivated so if you need to make an appt or reschedule an existing one, go for it!!! I will caution you that I am booking into the end of May so openings are scarce before then.

I am taking an awesome class today online on Pharmacology in Esthetics. I will be learning about the most common meds that people are on and how they assimilate in the body and the precautions I need to take to protect your health and well being during services!!! I'll also learn about the side effects that you may experience while on these meds and how I can possibly help alleviate them is they are skin related.

One thing I have done during my time off was redecorated the skincare room! An active brain is hard to keep down!!! So, I hope you like it when you see it! I think its very relaxing and I hope you do too!

4 week update!

Hello everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and are enjoying the beautiful (albeit) unseasonably warm weather!!!

Its been a little over 4 weeks since my surgery and I'm doing great!!! I saw my surgeon on Tuesday and he was pleased with my progress. He even gave me the ok to go back to work on the 27th....I do have to take it easy for a little while so be patient if I am moving little slower during services!

I started Physical Therapy yesterday. Goal is to get 100% range of motion back in the left arm along with strengthening and to strengthen the right elbow so I don't have to go thru this again!

Physical Therapy will be 3 times a week for the next 6 weeks initially, then I'll be evaluated to see if I need more. My PT days are M, W and F....so for awhile I will only be working Wednesdays from 9-1.....they were kind enough to be able to give me afternoon appts. So, starting the 28th, if you have an afternoon appt on a Wednesday, I will be rescheduling you to a different day. I'll start contacting you this weekend to do that as soon as I figure out how to do that!!!

And....the reason for the coffee picture is I have become addicted to coffee during my time off. Decaf only.... I really need to get back to work!!!! hahaha!

So, this will be the last update I send as I'm back to work in a week and a half!!! Thank you so much for hanging in there with me! I'm eternally grateful for all of you!!!!

Hello everyone!

Let me start by saying I miss everyone so much!!!!
I’m 2 weeks out from surgery and doing really well! The first 4 days were really awful but once the pain went away and I got the large 5 lb splint off, it has been so much better! So, the next 3 weeks are all about range of motion. I’ve been practicing holding a hand and pretending to massage a face so I’ll be ready the end of April!!! Then I’ll be working on strengthening my arm muscles.

Skin Script has announced a price increase on their products. This increase has already been put in place but I am giving you the opportunity to stock up at the old prices!
