FIRE SAFETY TIP!๐จ๐
The Tucson Fire Department responded to an electrical fire at a home in the 700 block of South 4th Avenue Tuesday.
The fire could have been much worse, but people in the home were able to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher.
If youโre not sure how to use an extinguisher, remember PASS!โจโจ-Pull the pin. Point nozzle away from you. Release the locking mechanism.
-Aim low. Point at the base of the fire.
-Squeeze the lever slowly and evenly.
-Sweep the nozzle from side-to-side.

CLASS 24-2 begins their day with an ancient tradition dating back to the Egyptians; passing of the Guidon. The Guidon is a symbol of stewardship and teamwork. The new class will grow closer to one another building a bond to serve the citizens of Tucson.

Colossal Cave is a perfect spot to hone Technical Rescue skills! There are many caves like it in Southern Arizona and today The Southern Arizona Regional Technical Rescue Group held a Technical Rescue Training
Rescue crews worked on their decision-making process on which equipment and search techniques to use to rescue people โlostโ in the cave.

IT IS HOT! ๐ฅต Today Golder Ranch and Northwest Fire collaborated with Tucson Fire in a hiker safety Public Service Announcement. The video shoot was a success. Stay tuned for the message.

Tucsonโs future firefighters in action! ๐๐ช Our cadets are getting hands-on experience with fire extinguishers and learning crucial home safety tips. ๐งฏ๐ Remember: knowledge is power when it comes to fire prevention!

Crews responded to a 0.5 acre blaze reported at 8:24AM this past weekend as an arcing wire/transformer with visible smoke. EN12, EN21, BRUSH17, UTV17, BT7, WT22, BN3, EC4, PM12 arrived on scene and contained the fire within 1 hour 45 minutes.
Rehab was set up nearby to support firefighters working in hot conditions. The quick response prevented further spread. Having a rehabilitation area during the hot summer months ensures our firefighters health and wellness. ๐จ๐ฉโ๐๐งโ๐๐

At 4:24PM on 05.29.24, Tucson Fire responded to a reported house fire in the 3300 block of east Bellevue Street. Crews arrived on scene to find one house involved in fire, which quickly spread to a neighboring home.
The second home caught fire with involvement of the attic space, making containment difficult. A second alarm was called to bring in additional resources. Due to potential roof collapse, crews transitioned to an exterior fire attack.
The blaze was brought under control in 50 minutes. A total of 7 people were displaced from the homes, with two people transported to the hospital in stable condition. 52 firefighters battled the fire, with no reported injuries to crews.
Battling the flames under the night sky ๐ฅ Our Rapid Extraction Module Support (REMS) team is on the frontlines of the Blue 2 Fire in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
Our mission is to provide critical medical aid and technical rescue support to the brave wildland firefighters operating in remote and rugged terrain.
Weโve been working closely with the Mesa Interagency Hotshot crew during overnight operations, ensuring their safety as they fight to contain the blaze.
Itโs a privilege to serve alongside these courageous men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities and natural resources. Stay safe out there, crew! ๐๐ช

In an epic clash of fire and water, they charged headlong into the blazing beast, hoses drawn like we battle lances. Through columns of smoke and showers of embers, their commitment never wavered. It was a dragonโs breath they stared down, and they emerged victorious!
With every scorching trial they conquer, these guardians prove they have the courage and grit to safeguard our community. The same fighting spirit that defeated a training blaze; will be there whenever duty calls.
