Have you seen purple artichokes at your local stores? Ocean Mist Farms Purple Artichokes are now in season & to celebrate we are cooking up a delicious chicken & artichoke pasta!

Ingredients:
4 chicken breast, chopped
Salt & pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup of toasted pine nuts
1 pound of pasta
6 artichokes (you can use purple or green artichokes)
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1 container of pesto sauce
2 lemons
1 tbsp of honey
Fresh basil to garnish

Directions:

Prepare artichokes & cut out hearts chop & set aside

Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper & garlic salt. Chop into bite size pieces.

Prepare pasta according to packaging.

Mix pasta sauce by mixing pesto, juice of 2 lemons & honey.

Prepare by mixing all ingredients together in a large bowl! Serve immediately and garnish with basil! Enjoy!

Ingredients
1 loaf La Brea Bakery Artisan Bread -French Baguette
1 10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and thoroughly drained/patted dry
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 onion, diced
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tablespoons prepared pesto
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 oz cream cheese softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese or shredded mozzarella

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Thaw frozen spinach and drain in a sieve, pressing to extract
excess water. Place spinach in a bowl and set aside.
2. Slice about 2 inches deep through the top of the La Brea Bakery Artisan Bread -French Baguette, and continue to cut a large rectangle. Remove top of the bread and hollow out 2 inches deep to create a shallow
rectangular bread bowl. Place on a baking sheet and set aside.
3. In a medium saucepan add olive oil and saute onion and garlic until soft and cooked.
4. Add onion and garlic mixture to bowl with spinach and add pesto, paprika, salt, pepper,
softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, parmesan and 1/2 of the cheddar cheese.
5. Stuff mixture into French bread loaf. topping the other half of the cheddar cheese on top.
6. Bake for 20-24 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling. Allow to cool slightly before
slicing. Serve and enjoy!

If you’re tired of serving regular old green beans and want to up your side dish game, then you're in for a treat!

This blue cheese & bacon green beans recipe adds a deliciously rich and tangy twist to this classic recipe. Perfect for regular weekday meals or to impress guests during holiday dinners, this combo is guaranteed to please even the pickiest eaters. Now let’s transform green beans into a star side dish with Treasure Cave® Blue Cheese Crumbles!

Ingredients
1 lb green beans, ends trimmed
4 slices thick-cut bacon
4 oz blue cheese crumbles
½ tsp ground black pepper
½ tsp sea salt
2 cloves of garlic minced

Instructions
1. Boil a large pot of water and add in green beans, ends trimmed. Boil for for 3-4 minutes.
Drain water and add to ice water bowl for an additional 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet add 4 slices of thick-cut bacon and cook until crisp. 4-5 minutes per side.
Remove from skillet and blot excess grease.
3. Immediately place 2 cloves of minced garlic in the bacon grease pan and cook until
fragrant. Add in green beans, pepper and salt. Sautee for 5 minutes.
4. Chop bacon and add to the pan, along with blue cheese crumbles. Leaving some bacon
crumbles & blue cheese aside to garnish the top. Mix together and add to plate. Sprinkle
bacon and blue cheese you set aside on top. Serve & Enjoy!

Welcome to this gourmet food and wine pairing blog post featuring my lovely Mom as our special guest! Today, we're exploring the rich flavors and refined elegance of a delicious Pumpkin-shaped Brie Puff Pastry with blackberry, pumpkin butter, and rosemary shallot flavors. I know that's already a lot of flavors to say, but we aren't stopping there. We're pairing this indulgent pastry with the sophisticated, full-bodied taste of J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.

Now, you may be wondering why I have my Mom as a special guest today, and it's not just because she loves this recipe. I have her here, because along with Jerry Lohr’s late wife, Carol Waldorf Lohr, she too has had breast cancer. Unfortunately, breast cancer runs on my mother’s side of the family. Along with my Mom, my Grandmother and Aunt have also had breast cancer. We have been blessed that my Mom is now a survivor, and has been for the past 15 years.

However, we know the importance of early detection and love the story behind this beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon named after Carol Lohr. Sadly, Carol passed from complications from breast cancer, which is why the Lohr family is devoted to advocating for breast self-care and early detection. Through the J. Lohr Touching Lives® initiative, they have surpassed $1 million in support of crucial services to help prevent breast cancer and have proudly funded more than 8,000 mammograms for women in need. Coming from a family that has a long history of this terrible disease, I am so proud to be working with J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines and proud to be sharing my passion for good food and recipes along with great wine pairings. Our wedding song truly does still show that our love will only continue to grow. You show up daily and show me the type of love a man should give in ways I never knew possible.
