Two years ago today: Greenwood Rising Black Wall Street History Center dedication The $20 million project which sits at the corner of Greenwood Avenue and Archer Street honors the icons of Black Wall Street and memorializes the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre victims.

Focus on what you want. Everything else is a distraction.

I stopped explaining because I realized people will only believe what they want to.

Success is not for the lazy, done with making excuses.

It's funny to me, but people see the moves that I've made in my career, my relative success, but not a lot of people really see how God has used my wife's voice to speak to me. She prays, she prays! More for me and the kids and others than she does for herself. She is a savvy businesswoman, she has an incredible design eye, she is a creative communicator, understands real estate. She is my defense when I am on the offense, she cools me down when I want to go off, she allows me to be so involved in the community with the peace that business is handled at home. She is not as present, but her presence is always felt. Her faith has given our family so much intuition, and things that I used to fight early in our marriage, I am starting to embrace it.

This chick is so talented, it's crazy! Who else could do also $2 million in real estate during a pandemic, manage two kids in virtual school, be an executive assistant to the Blythe Boyd (the most high maintenance child in history), build a brand, get a new business license, help me as I transitioned into an entirely new career, and do all of this looking good, smelling good, the house is always on point, food is always on point, she can rock the hair long, short or in a bob (blessing!)…she continues to amaze me!

This woman is so in-tuned with others around her, that she absorbs their pains, their stresses, as her own. While Q has my name, he is definitely his mother's child. He goes above and beyond to care for others, often to his own detriment. They both wear their hearts and go above and beyond for people when they don't have to. They both exhaust themselves giving things 110%. And in my frustration, I can't get angry at them for that, but I have to help guide them to pull back. Because this world is hard and people take advantage of that, and then fault you for NOT doing it later. I have seen both HURT because of people because oftentimes their spirits down make other peoples' demons uncomfortable.

Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of experience life with one of the most beautiful human beings on the planet. A woman who has taught me (and still teaching me) what true love really means, and what family means. A woman who has loved me unconditionally, through all my faults and mistakes and growth.

Marriage is hard, most often we make it harder than it should be, but it takes work. You can't be lazy, you have to work at it daily. I am 10-years in and still learning every day what it is to react or be present, or just listen when you need someone to complain to. We may not always agree, but I do know that there is no other person on this earth that I would want to experience life with!

When my wife has fault bad over me for losing friends or relationships or business partnerships, she's felt worse about the situations than I do, because she feels she is to blame. I am a bit more callous, and I have to remind her that not everyone will grow with you. And as we grow stronger together, our circles will grow smaller. Not everyone is ready for the places we were going, and not everyone will be prepared for our evolution. I'm excited because I'm going to be holding her bag, following her around the world. People are drawn to Michele's spirit, and while those who are closest can often miss it, more and more people outside of little old Tulsa are gravitating to it, and I'm so honored that I can be her executive assistant. She's had so much life experience and intelligence that she can connect.

This first 10 was crazy, it was fun, it was hard, I've learned so much, I love this woman now more than I ever have, and God knew only a woman like this could deal with a guy like me. But I'm so excited about this next 10. You all stay tuned, you'll hear about it eventually. Baby, I love you so much. Thank you for loving me, taking care of me, constantly supporting me and guiding me, and showing me what heaven looks like on earth.

Thank you, Michele Deon Boyd, for this first 10, I'm really ready for this next 50! The places we will go!
