To our valued customers, we feel it is necessary to pass on a word about feed prices and forecasting at this point. As you all have likely noticed, feed and supplement prices have increased over the past several weeks, and are currently well above last year’s marks. Dynamic Extrusion uses premium quality Distiller’s Grains for our supplements, and this commodity is up 34% over last year’s prices. Other protein sources (soybeans or cotton seed) are also similarly priced.
This price increase is due to a shortage in the protein market due to lack protein commodity production, which is being created by COVID related economic shutdowns. This situation could become worse if additional states shut-down, or if a new administration orders additional shutdowns (as they have promised).
Dynamic Extrusion, and All American Feed will never engage in price gouging, but we are subject to the economic markets. We remain committed to bringing you the best possible value in feed and supplements for your livestock. Supply for 2021 could be put in jeopardy depending on decisions of political leaders. While we wish prices were better at this time for our customers, this is a good time to ensure you have adequate feed for the remainder of the season and you are maximizing use of your storage systems. Our nutritionally dense products are a good 1st step in making sure you have the most possible protein and fat stored in your bins.

FYI as an essential business we continue to run making the best cattle feeds available. Many ethanol plants are closed and supply of DDGS is at best patchy, fortunately we had filled our silos before this hit and are still in production. We currently have 23 tons of calf cubes in bulk storage, and we are producing cattle cubes right now with 30 tons of unassigned inventory and the ability to produce another 30 unassigned tons from our current stock of grain. The cattle cubes are bagged in 1 ton bulk sacks. Protein around 28%, Fat around 10%. If you need pricing and availability please PM Nathan, Alex or myself.
