I am absolutely thrilled that I won a design contest and my prize was announced at this fun expansion party last night at Matters of Design... this gorgeous desk!! 😍 This design showroom is new to Tulsa this year and has so many beautiful things and the most awesome staff ready to help... let me know if you want to check it out with me!!!

Here's my layout and mood board that we submitted to Caracole corporate for the contest -- I've been wanting to focus on beautifying my office and get new pieces so I killed two birds with one stone. 👍 Hope the hubby is ready to cut me loose soon to buy some more of their beautiful furniture to accompany my desk! 😅

Checking out lots of lovely things at the mini market Matters of Design is putting on to the trade this week! Today was Caracole, one of my faves. 😍 The Bloody Mary's and mimosas were pretty good too! 👍😉

I love this floral container I found at a design shop in downtown Pensacola, Florida a couple years ago. It's perfect to arrange my fresh cut hydrangeas in or other flowers and keeps them standing up tall and pretty! 💐

Spruced up this client's set of breakfast room chairs to something very kid friendly! They have four children including a toddler and preschooler so now they can just wipe this faux leather right off with no worries. It looks like the real deal and the contrast velvet fabric on the backs is very nice. 👌

I love getting to help clients keep furniture they're attached to and love, but give it a fresh new look! 👏

It's an honor to get to do the event planning and design for Operation ART by Operation Aware of Oklahoma and Friday night was a smashing success! Many thanks to Tasha Bartholic of TK Wedding & Event Decor for the gorgeous centerpieces and collaboration on table settings and more.

OperationART is an annual event that benefits Operation Aware of Oklahoma so they can continue broadening their program to teach to more students across our state about drug awareness, positive relationships, choosing the right paths in life, and so much more. It's a wonderful program that is so valuable for our kids and they need all the positive reinforcements they can get to prepare them to navigate the world! I also absolutely love the opportunity to highlight extraordinarily talented professional artists in our area and seeking new ones that want to be involved, meeting new students that will be mentored, their parents and teachers, and seeing the works of art they create together. It's a feel good program all the way around that gives back ten-fold to our community! 🎨❤🙌

I have waited a long time for the perfect spot to show off this dome settee! It was a labor of love refinishing it myself and then one of the four fabrics on it was delayed so my upholsterer just got it out his door Friday morning in time for it to be seen at a big private Tulsa Designer Showcase party at Harwelden Mansion. Huge thanks to my brother-in-law Mike Jeffries (owner of Tulsa Furniture Exchange) for delivering it safe and sound and spur of the moment when I was going 10 different directions! 😘😘😘

I couldn't find exactly the right size piece of art for a spot in my showcase space, so I made one myself! 😱 Now deciding if it needs a resin finish on it or not. 🤔 It was fun and I wish I had unlimited time to do more! 😁

Here's the completed brass console base and countertop for the Women's Public Bath. 🤗 Just a few weeks left to finish this space for Tulsa Designer Showcase and this entire property is looking more fabulous than ever. Cannot wait to see all the results of many months of hard teamwork here.

We had a little time to kill during our girls' dance competitions downtown this weekend so we walked next door to the mid-century modern library which is super cool. We hadn't been inside it since it was remodeled and I've been wanting to see the updates for some time. Check out this breathtaking blown glass chandelier inside... talk about WOW!!! 😍

Took the winter wreaths down and moved on to these pretty pink tulips just in time for Valentine's Day. Makes it feel closer to springtime too! 💗🌷💗🌷💗

I am so excited to be chairing Operation ART by Operation Aware of Oklahoma 2019 and cannot wait for the artist/student work sessions to begin this month!!! These are some of the many talented artists who will be participating this year, some new and some returning, and many of them are wonderful friends of mine! Since a couple more signed on in the last week, we have some spots that just opened up for students again. If you have a child who would like to participate or know someone who does, please contact me ASAP.

This program is very dear to me. 💖 Professional artists in our area are paired up with local students ages 9 to 18 to create a piece of art together through scheduled group work sessions. The finished pieces are then auctioned off at our gala event which will be at the The Mayo Hotel on April 26th. Proceeds benefit Operation Aware of Oklahoma so they can continue their mission of teaching about making positive life choices in our area schools.

It's a fabulous program that gives back to our community in countless ways and encourages young people to learn about art and in many cases grow their talents. It also teaches so much about perspective and finding the beauty in things. It is so much fun and just extraordinary all the way around!

Confession: I have a slight obsession with balloon chairs. 😅 I have three of them in my home and they are so unique, fun, and cozy. Maybe not so practical for some but they work for me! 🤗 This one is in a sunny little corner of our living room and I love to curl up in it. I'm getting ready to take my other two that are host chairs in our dining room to the upholsterer, and can't wait to see them all finished! More on that to come...
