Even manufactured properly, trailers can still be a hazard if used improperly – oftentimes unintentionally. As traffic fatalities continue to increase, the federal government is seeking ways to implement a National Roadway Safety Strategy. The NATM 2024 Convention is underway in Las Vegas! NATM does important work advocating for the trailer manufacturing industry and keeping its members informed of legislation affecting their operations. This morning's government affairs workshop is offering a snapshot of issues facing our industry. Just one of many valuable sessions offered at !

After almost 29 years of loyal service, Rick Buie officially retired from Optronics on February 2, 2024.

During his tenure at Optronics, Rick’s contributions were absolutely invaluable to our success and growth.

Rick joined Optronics in 1995 when our facility was located in Fort Gibson, OK. During those days, Rick pulled orders with a pallet jack and sent team-members climbing racks for hard-to-reach parts. Fast forward to 2024 when Rick managed a team of 15 employees that process an average of 350 LTL shipments and 2,500 parcel shipments per month!

But Rick’s contributions go far beyond the number of processed shipments. Optronics has established itself as a top supplier in our industry because of our customer service and track-record in delivering orders – particularly during supply chain-related challenges. Much of the praise we receive from our customers is very directly related to Rick.

His wealth of knowledge, unparalleled work ethic, and uncompromising drive for excellence embody our core values. Rick trained and mentored countless shipping associates, some of whom have advanced to senior leadership roles at Optronics. And some of whom are now ready to step in and continue his legacy.

Please join us in extending your congratulations to Rick in celebrating his remarkable career.

Optronics is fortunate to be able to support nonprofits in each of the communities in which we have facilities. The Window, Inc. has been serving the Goshen Community for over 50 years. The organization’s core programs involve reducing food insecurity, and have become a resource for those struggling to make ends meet. On average the organization serves over 317 people per day.

Even small donations can make a big difference!

This past Thursday Stacy Setty and Neil Batie from Optronics presented a $1500 check to Ed Swartley, Executive Director, of The Window!

$1500 will feed 15 families of 4 in the pantry for 2 months!
$1500 will feed 495 people hot nutritious lunches in Katie's Kitchen!
$1500 will provide 15 Meals on Wheels clients a hot nutritious
lunch for 4 weeks!

Optronics recently introduced geometrically-shaped marker/clearance lights, giving customers the choice between round, oval, and rectangular shaped lights. Uniquely, these lights offer an increased light size while fitting into a standard 3/4- inch hole, courtesy of the included grommet. Look at the size in comparison to our standard 3/4-inch. How would those look on your truck or trailer? Did I mention they're all PC rated, so suitable for use on an angle as combination marker/clearance lights??

It is with great respect and appreciation that Optronics recognizes two long time employees who are entering retirement.

Kenneth Evans, affectionately known as Bush, has worked in the Muskogee warehouse for over 20 years. As one of Optronics' most tenured employees, Bush has seen tremendous growth and change during his career.

John Wood has worked more than 12 years in the Muskogee warehouse, where he served with a great attitude and willingness to help in all circumstances.

We will miss these gentlemen, but wish them each a long and happy retirement.
