Seedling Symphony, launched by Signature Symphony, is an educational program that introduces children (birth to 8 years old) to complex music through interactive, live performances featuring string instruments like the violin, viola and cello. 📚🎼

Yesterday, the Tulsa Air and Space Museum (TASM), City of Tulsa Gov, and the 138th Fighter Wing came together to honor the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. A beautiful, thoughtful new public art piece, titled 'Missing Man,' was dedicated in recognition of Technical Sergeant Marshal D. Roberts, the first and only airman from the 138th Fighter Wing lost in combat.

This powerful tribute serves as a lasting reminder of their bravery and selflessness. The next time you visit the Tulsa Air & Space Museum, be sure to take a look!

✔️Sensory Room: For younger passengers with autism or sensory challenges, featuring rearrangeable furniture, relaxing colorful lighting, a busy board and fidget spinners.

✔️Quiet Room: Designed for those with dementia, PTSD, or anxiety, offering dimmable lighting, calming décor, and fidget mats.

✔️Mother’s Room: Private spaces for breastfeeding or pumping, with comfortable furniture, outlets, a changing table, and a sink.

✔️Indoor Pet Relief Area: Indoor areas with faux grass, waste bags, hand sanitizer, and sinks for pet care.

✔️Family Restroom: Lower-level restrooms with standard and adult changing tables for adults with intellectual or physical disabilities.

Guess who's floating by tomorrow? 🦆 Timmy the 10-foot rubber duck is coming to the Home2 Suites Tulsa Airport on Tuesday, August 27th! We're excited to be one of his stops around town leading up to the !

The post-security display space will be available for a new exhibit beginning in January 2025, and the photography walls in the parking garage walkways will be available for a new exhibit in February 2025, and we are currently accepting proposals.

Each selected applicant will receive $1,000 for materials and their time, and have their pieces on display for millions to see!

Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust’s Director of Real Estate and Business Development, Daniel Regan, has been at the Farnborough International Airshow in England this week. He’s been with fellow Okies connecting with leading innovators from the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries.

As a regional hub for aerospace activities, Tulsa International Airport aims to support industry growth by developing over 700 acres of the airport’s real estate. We're already big players, as Tulsa is ranked 8th nationally for the size of its aerospace engines manufacturing cluster and 20th for its defense-related cluster, making it a prime location for companies in these industries to expand. ✈️

Our team celebrated by handing out the one and only Blue Bell Ice Cream to our passengers. Safe to say it was a hit!

All of our dispatch systems are up and running, and airport operations have not been impacted by the outage.

Exciting News! Norwegian Solar Energy Company NorSun is investing $620 million in a brand new manufacturing facility at Tulsa International Airport! This marks their first major expansion into the Americas. Construction begins later this year, and they expect the facility to be open and fully operational by late 2026.

This location will create 320 direct jobs and boost domestic ingot and wafer production to meet growing demand from U.S. solar cell and panel manufacturers, advancing the renewable energy sector.

Over the past few years, the airport has hosted free 2-day Aerospace Career Exploration Camps for teens, offering behind-the-scenes tours and opportunities to learn from professionals like air traffic controllers, mechanics, and pilots. The June camp included visits to American Airlines' Maintenance Base - Tech Ops, FedEx, Atlantic, TSA, and Omni Air International.

With aviation and aerospace being the state’s fastest-growing industry, these camps aim to inform teens about the diverse, high-paying jobs available in Tulsa. 👩‍✈️🛫 👩‍🔧

Join us this Thursday for our monthly free (air-conditioned) Storytime event, which is led by Tulsa City-County Library. No RSVP is needed this month. Just invite your friends and bring your little ones!
