We HAD to post this super old pic of Shoe, Mat, and an incredibly young Jeff Jones hangin with Paul Wertico at a DRUM WORLD clinic a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. We LOVE the fact that we all go way back and Shoe has been there every step of the way! We love ya, Shoe. Have a great birthday!

We can't stop staring at this new arrival at Drum World. This Mapex Saturn in Red-n-blue sparkle (purple sparkle if you ask us) with the Gibraltar rack looks like a Glam robot spider! This kit is stunning and the pics don't do it justice. The hybrid Saturn shells sound incredible. Gotta see this kit for yourself!

NAMM update - Yamaha always has new innovations and brings very high quality stuff into the market (check out their incredible new hihat stand) and Dixon always has the eye of the tiger and pushes the market forward with new ideas. (Some really eye-catching snares this year)

NAMM update - Gretsch drums and some outliers. From Iconic yellow to champagne sparkle, Gretsch drums still won’t be denied. Premier drums are poised to make a strong entrance back into the market. (You’ve been missed, guys) and a shot at the end of one of the many boutique drum companies out in force this year. Asian market drums are spreading their wings

NAMM update - Ludwig USA drums are stellar. Maple classic in white abalone, Oak classic in new burst green with other new finishes, 6.5x14 phonics in bronze, copper, and brass. Consider me “hooked on phonics”! AND of course the limited edition purple Vistalite in Bonham sizes. Holy John Henry!

NAMM update - Tama Pt. 2. The Tama reissue kits are outstanding. Superstar kits in the original Cherry Wine, Teal, and the always stunning Super Mahogany. The release of original Natural Maple in the Superstar classic.
Some reserve snare drums. Always impressive.

NAMM update - Tama has its 50th anniversary this year. Lots of reissue stuff, but lots of new impressive stuff as well. Check out the STAR drums, the limited edition painted Iron Cobra pedals, the reissue Mastercraft steel snare, reissue snares in Maple, Rosewood, and THE Bell Brass model.

We were honored to work with the Make A Wish foundation to build a drum set for Caleb. It would not have come together without a lot of help from friends and companies that have stood with Drum World Tulsa for many, many years. 19-year-old in remission for leukemia gifted professional drum set

Another stinger. RIP Jame Kottak. He was a commanding drummer for many bands, including the Scorpions, but I will always remember him as the drummer for Kingdom Come. Powerhouse player that also had an amazing voice. He had his demons, but he will not be forgotten. Godspeed JK.
