IT'S TIP TUESDAY! Whether you're new to climbing or you're a seasoned climber, it's always helpful to hear from others about what has helped them along their climbing journey!

Climb Tulsa member, John, had this suggestion about experimenting with different types of techniques:

"I think my best tip would be don't be afraid to put pressure, literally and figuratively, on your climbs. Putting pressure helps you push your legs, and your arms help you just climb smoothly up the wall. My really good friend, Greg, taught me that, since I'm new to all this. He's such a dynamic climber, being also to use his legs and feet to apply pressure so easily. I've learned so much from him, so I'd also recommend climbing with more experienced climbers too!"

Thanks, John! When you first started climbing, what helped you the most? Let us know in the comments!

Q: What do you enjoy most about climbing?
B: "I feel like it's such a well-rounded sport. You get some physical stimulation for your body, but it keeps your mind engaged as well!"

Q: What is your favorite thing about Climb Tulsa?
B: "I think the staff here goes above and beyond for everyone. They set up the problems so well, and they set you up to progress in your climbing abilities. I also like that I can just choose to go upstairs and weight lift if I want to. Getting it all done here is really nice."

IT'S TIP TUESDAY! Whether you're new to climbing or you're a seasoned climber, it's always helpful to hear from others on what has helped them along their climbing journey!

Climb Tulsa member, Ethan, had this suggestion about climbing through your blind spot moments:

"For me, I would recommend looking for the spot where I can't always find straight away. By that I mean, if I'm looking for a foot hold but I know where my hand is, then I can trust my hand to stay and help look for my next foot placement."

Thanks, Ethan! When you first started climbing, what helped you the most? Let us know in the comments!

IT'S TIP TUESDAY! Whether you're new to climbing or you're a seasoned climber, it's always helpful to hear from others on what has helped them along their climbing journey!

Climb Tulsa member, Luke, had this suggestion about making friends who push you to be better and who approach climbs differently than you do:

"I think the best thing is to make friends with people who are a little better [at climbing] than you. Maybe they've been climbing longer or maybe it's that they think differently about a climb than you, but this person can push and encourage you.

If I'm the one climbing with a newer climber, I always tell them to think with their feet as much as their hands. Climbing gets a lot easier when you do that!"

Thanks, Luke! When you first started climbing, what helped you the most? Let us know in the comments!
