In the competitive world of high school athletics, Heart of a Champion stands out by recognizing not just athletic ability, but the remarkable character that defines a true champion! This year’s Heart of a Champion is Kalley Hogue.
Hogue, a senior at Oologah High School, plays soccer, basketball, track and softball. She was nominated and chosen for exemplifying the spirit of competition through her unwavering work ethic, selflessness, and kindness.
At the 21st annual Champions of Health gala, Hogue got to meet and do a jersey swap with Jalen Williams, guard-forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder!

Five organizations were honored at the 21st Annual Champions of Health Gala, which featured Jalen Williams from the Oklahoma City Thunder! The gala benefits the Oklahoma Caring Foundation and recognizes people and organizations working to improve health outcomes throughout the state.

The highest honor, the Rodney L. Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health Award, and a $20,000 grant was given to Emergency Infant Services. This grant will go towards their mobile unit program, Baby Blue. Baby Blue strives to remove access barriers to basic needs such as diapers, formula and essential baby items.
