We want to thank the stand-by companies that moved around the east side of the county to provide continued service to multiple communities.

We can not stress this enough…
If you are approaching an emergency scene, please slow down.
When crews set up traffic control, it is not to keep you from your destination. It is to keep our first responders, tow truck operators, those involved in the incident and YOU safe!
This morning, shortly after 1100, crews were alerted for a vehicle into a utility pole in #3’s district. Arriving units found the vehicle had also gone into an attached garage. Crews evaluated the structure & determined that shoring up the garage ceiling was the safest option, prior to removing the vehicle.
Crews worked on scene for a little over an hour & utilized the WFCC (Wilkins, Forest Hills, Chalfant, Churchill) 328TR Rescue Trailer. The trailer is supplied with stabilization equipment, miscellaneous lumber & other equipment needed in the event of a collapse or structural failure.
Thanks to all who assisted.

In 2006, our department took delivery of a new Pierce Enforcer CAFS Pumper. The apparatus would become recognized for its green cab, & known for the specialized Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS), one of the first in the area. Over the years it has served as a Rescue-Engine, pumped countless fires & a fan favorite in parades all over Eastern Allegheny County….
But the question is…where has 302ENG-1 been?
Stay Tuned….
Happy Labor Day!
