Reminder: Tomorrow is the last day to register for the award-winning and FREE TCS Summer Learning program! (for elementary and middle school grades. High school registration will occur later.)

The program will last May 30-July 3, 8 a.m.-2:45 p.m. and will include transportation and meals. For registration links, check your school's social media or principal emails.

Gregory Moore and Kasen Sanders were recipients of the Tuscaloosa Police Department Chief’s Excellence Award! One 4th grader and one 5th grader is chosen. The students are recognized for growth, leadership, and hard work. We are super proud of them!

Important Information regarding school tomorrow!

Pre-K Registration is open today!

What a day! Thank you to all of our Verner Elementary School families for being flexible and understanding today! We are sorry for the inconvenience. Alabama Power did a great job keeping us informed. They tried really hard but the problem was more than originally expected! We had to make decisions based on their reports. The power is on now and we will be back to our regular schedule tomorrow, 1/10/24!

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Northridge High School and Verner Elementary School will remain closed throughout the day due to an ongoing power outage. Northridge Middle School has power and will begin the school day at 11 a.m. Any Verner Elementary and Northridge High students who rode buses to schools will be returned to their homes. We appreciate your patience during this situation.

FINAL Verner update:

We were just notified power will not be restored so at this time we will cancel school. If your child is on a bus they will bring your child back home. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

8:30 UPDATE!!!!

Power outage UPDATE!

We will implement a one hour delay due to power outage at a the school. Students should report to school no later than 9:00 a.m.
We are in constant communication with Alabama Power so please stay posted.
Buses will run on a delay as well. One hour later than normal.
Stay posted as this could change as needed based on info from Alabama Power.
