South Coast Water District selected Butier Engineering, Inc. to provide construction management, observation, and inspection services for the Dana Point Harbor Revitalization Phase 2 Project, which includes the new water and sewage line. After completion of this phase, construction will begin on the Harbor’s new restaurants, retail shops, parkscapes, public spaces, and a state-of-the-art parking structure.

PROJECT PROGRESS: Butier Engineering, Inc., in collaboration with Orange County Water District (OCWD) and the City of Tustin, is providing construction management and field QA/QC services for the City of Tustin PFAS Treatment System and Influent Conveyance Project. Aerial images, courtesy of Caliagua, Inc. (General Contractor), show significant construction progress at the existing Main Street Water Treatment Plant. Upon completion, the new treatment system will eliminate per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) affecting portions of Tustin’s groundwater and restore the impacted drinking water supplies to the Tustin customers. The project involves installing four new ion exchange vessels to treat the water from four offsite wells and installing nearly three miles of conveyance pipeline from the extraction wells to the new treatment system. The City of Whittier's Murphy Reservoir Replacement Project has reached a significant milestone. Please take a moment to watch the highlight reel to see how the concrete walls were formed for the new reservoir. To meet the water storage deficiency within the existing limited space, the aging twin 0.5 MG concrete reservoirs were demolished and are being replaced with a single 2.31 MG reservoir. The larger reservoir will meet the City’s operational, fire, and emergency storage requirements.

Moulton Niguel Water District selected Butier Engineering, Inc. (Butier) to provide construction management and inspection services for Phase IV of the Reservoir Management Systems (RMS) Replacement Program. This phase includes replacing the existing on-site generation (OSG) systems at four (4) RMS sites in Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel. The systems will be replaced with 12.5% bulk sodium hypochlorite or new OSG and ammonia systems. The RMS Replacement Program will help maintain consistent disinfection levels in the District’s potable water distribution system.

Chino Basin Desalter Authority selected Butier Engineering, Inc. (Butier) to provide construction management and inspection services for the Well I-11 Booster Pump Station Project. The project includes constructing a new booster pump station to pump groundwater from the well to the Chino II Desalter to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) should elevated levels be detected.
