Please welcome our Violist Kyle Bague to The Elite Four!

Kyle has a deep appreciation for video game music and is greatly looking forward to bringing that music to life, both the old and the new. He has been playing viola for 16 years in a dynamic range of orchestras and symphonies, including those of Irvine, Dana Point, La Sierra University, Cal State Fullerton, and many more. He holds a Performance Certificate from La Sierra University and is currently enrolled at Cal State Fullerton pursuing a bachelor's degree in Music Performance.

We're excited to have him on our team and hear his passion for game music!

Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts is putting on a performance of West Side Story! Get to know the cast and enjoy some musical mastery!

Gee, Officer Krupke! Say hi to Scott Senior our Krupke
What do you like best about playing your character?
This is actually the first time I’ve heard of anyone casting a younger-looking Krupke, so I’m excited to see how I can use that in combination with the character as it exists in the script to really bring something new to the piece while challenging myself as an actor.
How are you most like your character? How are you unlike that character?
I’m like him in the way that I’ve always been someone who follows the rules no matter how unpopular it made me. I’m unlike him in the sense that I like to think I’m at least a little bit smarter than he is.
How did you get involved in musical theater/performing?
I started doing shows at my elementary school because I liked singing and I had friends in the theatre class, but after my first show I was hooked!
Did you have anyone who mentored you in acting?
I’d have to say one of the directors at my community theatre, Anne Gesling, greatly mentored me in acting whenever I was in a show she did, as well as Marilyn Fox who has taught me so much about acting at UCLA.
Do you have other members of your family involved in performing?
My grandma used to be an opera singer, and my dad used to be an actor. He used to sing at a dinner theater in Aspen called the Crystal Palace for many years. My sister is a singer too, and she’s currently working on recording original music.
What other roles have you played recently? Do you have a favorite? What made this one a favorite?
My most recent role was Caldwell B. Cladwell in UCLA Act III’s production of Urinetown the Musical. That would have to be my favorite as well, as it pushed me so far out of my comfort zone and really forced me to be bigger than myself. I’m probably most proud of myself as an actor for my work in that role.
How do you feel about performing in an outside stage in a park? Is this your first time performing outside?
I’m excited to be performing outside! Musical theatre and being in nature are two beautiful things, and together I bet it would be a stunning combination. That being said, this will be my first outdoor show.
Who are you most looking forward to seeing you perform in West Side Story?
I’m most looking forward to seeing my work friends at Disney see me performing in this show. Most of the time my shows are so far away they can’t come see them, but this show will be closer so hopefully it’ll be easier!
What is your favorite number in West Side Story?
The Tonight Quintet which I honestly believe is one of the most stunning musical moments in musical theatre.
What would be your dream role?
My dream role has and always will be Tony in this show. My fingers are crossed that it can still happen someday!
