Fall color scenes in Kyoto and Tokyo (Nov/Dec 2022).
Sorry for the long absence. I’ve just been so busy with my day job 🙂.
Thank you for your continued support of my photographic endeavors.
I recently visited Lake Ashi in Hakone, Japan and captured some scenes in this very peaceful place. I find the 1st image my favorite (de focused water surface). I think the in focus images aren’t that bad 😁.
Have a great weekend!
The Art of Getting Lost (aka I’m Direction Challenged).
I’ve accepted and embraced my poor direction/navigation skills so when I do my photo travel walks, I incorporate sufficient time to go to a specific place esp if it’s a timed entrance or an actual appointment. I was looking for a tea place located at the 1st Arrondissement in Paris a few mos. ago and after even asking 2 individuals for assistance, I still was “lost” but then ended up in a familiar boulevard, Rue di Rivoli, with an unfamiliar scene - a colossal “modern” building with an impressive all glass facade that reflects all the old building across its location. I took a couple of smartphone shots coz I was too lazy to retrieve my camera 😂. Upon further research, I learned that this building - Le Samaritaine is a recently renovated art Nouveau designed upscale department store currently owned by the LVMH group. I was so delighted to see this visual treat especially the built in distortion that the glass facade was creating. I might take their architectural tour of these days which is probably the only thing I can afford at this place.
P.S. - I eventually located (after 30 min of endless walking) the ChinoFranco tea place I was originally looking for - Boutique Yam’Tcha 😊.
As always, thank you very much for supporting my visual documentation adventures. Cheers!
Always a visual treat and a spiritual sanctuary. Thank you Metrolink train for the free tickets. Happy Weekend!
Can we just skip summer 😁?
