Today we had our Christmas Door Decorating contest!! Our people have been working hard to make their doors look as festive as they possibly can and we have some really creative minds on our team! The winner will be announced in January but I think all the doors are great. Thanks to everyone who participated! We love our team!

Grace Community High School students made giving fun through their "Change Competition." Though competitive in nature between the classes, this group raised over $800. for The Salvation Army in Tyler!! Way to "Do the Most Good!" Thank you so much!!

Today we want to give a big shout out to one of our amazing Advisory Board members, Jarad Kent, who not only came to our Angel Tree Distribution and helped pack gifts into cars but then the very next day (today) and ON HIS BIRTHDAY is ringing bells with friends for 12 hours at Chick-Fil-a Broadway Crossing to support The Salavtion Army of Smith county! Thanks so much, Jarad. Happy Birthday!

All was calm and bright...Captain Michelle Walker leads the volunteers in a prayer before opening the doors to a sea of bikes, toys, dolls, clothes and gifts. Thank you to all!!

We sure had some good, clean fun with Troup High School's National Honor Society! What an amazing group of future leaders who, on their own, collected almost 1,400 bars of soap for our shelter! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Each year the Christian Quilt Guild donates to The Salvation Army Angel Tree. Here in Tyler, 138 quilts were donated this morning by the Group.

The Sparrows Sunday School class at Grace Community Church always remember the ladies living with us this time of year. They are so thoughtful to bless each of our resident women with a gift bag.
