Rapid Recovery Tyler
Medical spa offering rehydration necessary as a result of overexertion, overheating, or overindulg
In other shocking news, the sun will rise in the East tomorrow.
🤦🏻♂️
Thank goodness we take walk-ins til 4.
To be blunt, staying , eating right, and exercising can be a real pain in the ass and not seem worth going the extra mile for, but remember, how you approach ANYTHING in life is how you'll approach EVERYTHING in life. Just go ahead and be a winner.
So here's the thing... If you don't wear light-colored, loose-fitting, lightweight clothes, don't stay in the shade, don't stay , and have to come in for an because you let this heat get to you, please at least tell the nurse you were looking for your neighbor's dog or something so we don't think you're irresponsible. 🤦🏻♂️🤣
Hey, here's some good news: Our TVs have a bunch of streaming services, but no CNBC, so you can relax with an and not be tempted to watch the stock market crashing or your retirement plan getting strafed. 🤦🏻♂️
Just going to go ahead and get this out of the way so everyone doesn't call tomorrow and ask if we're open to take a walk-in for . 🤣🤣🤣
If you're on this page you're health conscious. However, you may not be looking at the full picture. Being thin DOES NOT necessarily mean you're healthy. You could have blood pressure issues, ejection fraction problems, arterial blockage, or any number of other issues, so don't just assume that because you LOOK healthy that you ARE healthy.
and jogging and being thin and active are all great, but if you want to know what the REAL state of your health is, GET A CHECKUP!!
Great... Just great... Well, it was nice while it lasted and at least you know we take walk-ins every day til 4. 😵
Just here to apologize!
It was an absolute MADHOUSE here on Saturday afternoon. It was slow all day and then at 3:00 everyone south of Grande walked in for an .
If you got caught up in that mess, I'm really sorry. We really aren't designed for giant crowds, but once in a blue moon, they show up. Thanks for your patience!
Got to the office yesterday and took a bit of a scolding because we're out of logo tumblers, and low on other swag that we usually give out after you get .
Jeez... Take it easy. I ordered it all. If you're stuck with goodies you don't like because we're out of goodies you do, when you come in next week you can take extra. ;-)
Just a "heads up" for everybody...
We're oddly seeing a bunch of sick folks in the area at hospitals and physician offices. Not just a summer cold, but some kind of virus that shows as "not covid" and "not the flu".
Be careful!
Not to toot my own horn here (maybe a little), but if you read our regularly you'll know that the piece KLTV 7 ran last night was almost word for word what we said months ago: You HAVE to check the policies and procedures of ANY place you may go. There are HIGE differences in safety and quality.
It may seem cool and easy, but you're letting someone infuse God knows what into your blood stream. Be careful and do your research!
I know it's not hot out right now, and you might not be , but we're getting a Bass Pro Shop and I'm gonna need all of y'all to go crazy so I don't go bankrupt in it. 🤣
You already know we take walk-ins all weekend from 8 til 4, but what you didn't know is that I woke up early today and am ready to answer chat questions from the website. 🤦🏻♂️
Think about it. Ten years ago when you were sick with the , or , or had a stomach bug, you had to go to the ER and spend a fortune, like you were in some kind of Stone Age nightmare.
Today, you've got us 7 days a week for a walk-in if you need to Feel Better Faster.
Strange picture eh?
We've noticed a lot of mobile places advertising around town, and a lot of places adding to their offerings. People constantly ask them about their procedures.
While we won't give them away for other places to copy, if you come in for a treatment you're welcomed to read through all 40-someodd pages of the Policies and Procedures we've developed over almost 8 years, and watch your IV being made. We're setting the standard and don't mind being checked.
Here's the craziest thing you'll hear all day:
If you can't spare an hour for and want to do something that'll make you feel wonderful, you can really beat the heat, get , and feel a little sugar rush (not as great as , but fun nonetheless) if you seek out a snow cone.
Nobody can have a snow cone and not smile when they're done.
Looks like we're stuck with this kinda heat til later in the week.
Thank goodness for ice cold drinks, AC, and walk-in !
Our nurses all probably hope you think we're closed on the weekends so they can nap or something, but Captain Evil is here to wreck their day by letting you know we take walk-ins all weekend from 8 to 4.
Muuuuuuuwaaahahahahahaha...
Looks like we have to share this everywhere. We're frequently (as in twice this morning) asked if we give diphenhydramine (Benadryl) in our packages, for people who have illness or migraines.
We don't. It's a wonderful medicine, but it causes drowsiness. We don't want to risk you being off your game and trying to drive. Even if it's an hour later. If you choose to go to a place that DOES give IV Benadryl, please have a driver... for a WHILE.
Well, we may not be winning any of those "Best Of" competitions (mainly because we always forget to vote, don't make our team members do it, and forget to bug you about it), but Rapid Recovery is now #1 of our locations, blowing past Shreveport for number of patients.
That means you've been telling your friends... THANK YOU!!! That might cheese off the Shreveport staff, but it makes our day!
Heads up!!
If you're working outside, playing golf or pickleball or tennis, or are just in the heat and are drinking electrolyte powders, BE CAREFUL.
They're loaded with sodium and can spike your blood pressure if you drink too many. Let's not trade dehydration for a stroke.
Even if you don't need an , y'all know you're welcomed to come hang out with us if your power is out. We might look like wet cats, but we're here with power, snacks and , and happy to see everybody...
I'm as shocked as you are! We're open!!
I guess if you have the freedom to celebrate, reflect, take the day off, barbque, and make fun of King George, you have the right to work if you want and apparently we have folks who do.
Uhhh, yeah we're going to be open tomorrow for walk-ins.
George Washington didn't cross the Delaware just to get everybody a day off... 🤣
You're feeling thirsty... so very thirsty... Reach for the water. That's it. Now drink. Drinnnnnnnnk.
Goooooooood. Yes. Gooooood.
So many folks who want an call and ask if we're busy.
Well, the answer right now is "not even a little", so as long as you can get here by 4, come on. 😊
See this blind? I put it up last night because a patient filled out the suggestion card and said the sun was blazing through that window and it was hot during his treatment in the "manroom" in Tyler.
You have to let us know when something isn't perfect, because we'll fix it if we know, but can't if we don't know.
Thanks!!
Alright regulars, you got the staff in trouble...
Some of you don't take the Aftercare card which has post- instructions and the alcohol wipe and bandaid, because it's old hat.
Humor me and take it every time. You never know when your bandage is going to become ineffective, and we don't want you picking up an infection after you leave. Thank you!
This is from my patio today, and it's bad news.
Why would a beautiful sky be a problem? No clouds.
It isn't going to be easy to stay . Come by if you need us, but try to be smart!
If you have outdoor work to do, remember that the sun comes up these days at 6:15. Do that stuff in the morning and stay out of the brutal heat. Less dangerous. Still have to stay , but you're less likely to get into danger.

Feel Better... Faster
Rapid Recovery opened in Shreveport, Louisiana in 2016 to help people who are dehydrated, sore, getting over an illness or a hangover, or who just need a boost. We know there are times, maybe after the flu or a 10k, that you need fluids or a vitamin boost, and you don’t want to sit in a Quick Care with a lobby full of sick people, or an ER full of blood and broken bones. We’ll put you in a recliner, with a fruit juice or a coffee, and a cookie, in front of a big screen TV, and let you relax while you get better. It’s the civilized way to heal.
