Our ‘Summer Studios’ program kicks off on Wednesday, June 5!
Offering free art activities for children, the program will take place every Wednesday in June and July from 12-3 p.m. in the TMA Classroom. Each week a different art activity and technique will be highlighted, offering a summer full of artistic learning.
Plus, free special treats and refreshments will be available to all participants (while supplies last)!
It is all in the details! ‘Tongue in Chic: The Humor and High Fashion of Todd Oldham’ opens to the public next Friday, May 30.
Presented in collaboration with the Texas Fashion Collection, an archive at the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design, this exhibition explores the Texas-born designer’s creations of the 90s.
Drawing inspiration from flea market finds to Lite Brite toys, Oldham’s work celebrates the world around us, delighting in the everyday.
Join us this Thursday evening at the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center for a free screening of ‘Woman in Gold’ (PG13). The doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Following the screening, Dr. Elizabeth Lisot-Nelson, Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Texas at Tyler, will give a presentation over Gustav Klimt’s
“Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I’ (1907) which is featured in the film.
Join us this Sunday, May 19 at 2:30 p.m. for the ‘20th Annual High School Art Exhibition’ Awards Ceremony. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
Voting for the ‘People’s Choice’ award ends this Saturday. Swing by before Sunday to cast one last vote. Then, join us on Sunday to see the winner announced.

At tomorrow’s Family Day, come learn about printmaking! Visitors will have the opportunity to make their own works of art for free as well as enjoy light refreshments in our classroom.
In collaboration with the City of Tyler, Texas's Gallery Main Street, “Snapshots: Prints by Rob Clark” opens this Friday. Join us for an opening reception on Friday, May 10 from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
The exhibition features 12 aluminum-plate lithographs based on the artist’s experience during COVID lock down in 2020.

With works from over 90 East Texas high school artists, there will be something for everyone!
