"Black patients have long struggled with bias across the U.S. health care system...Because both Type 1 diabetes and LADA are autoimmune conditions, patients will have antibodies that Type 2 patients typically don’t. But, as Clarke recounted, getting tested for those various antibodies isn’t always easy."

One of our Type 1 Diabetes families found themselves stranded at camp with no supplies, but thanks to a kind lady at our local Walgreens, they were back on track in no time. Your swift and compassionate assistance made all the difference.

Stories like these remind us of the incredible support within our community. Thank you for being a true hero to those in need! We appreciate you!
