The School of Education hosted their Bridging Ceremony for graduating students to represent their entrance into the next steps of their teaching careers.

UA Longview has been recognized by the Accelerating Women’s Success and Mastery in Computer Science honor roll for its efforts to encourage and support female students in the field of computer science. AWSM in CS is a National Science Foundation funded project focused on increasing access and participation of young women in computing courses.

The University of Texas at Tyler placed #22 on the Online Master’s Degrees’ annual rankings of the nation's top universities for an online master's in reading/literacy education.

The University of Texas at Tyler University Academy recently announced that its Longview campus has expanded to allow 130 additional students for the 2023-24 school year.

The Longview campus will be adding two kindergarten classes and one additional classroom for each grade 1st through 4th.

In case you missed it, Dr. Michael Odell has been named the 2021 “Outstanding Faculty Teacher” by UT Austin’s UTeach Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Educators Association. Serving the university since 2006, Odell holds the UT Tyler Sam and Celia Roosth Chair in Education and is a professor of STEM education in the School of Education. He was recognized by the association for his dedication and significant contributions to STEM education and disciplines.
