A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to IEA Member and rising Junior, ANLEIGH AHLERT (Grier School, coached by Chris McElyea), for winning the GINORMOUS NRHA Level 2 Green Reiner class today aboard her horse Chics Dig Gunner - with 151 entries! The class lasted nearly 11 hours!

So many current and alumni IEA riders showing at this year's record breaking reining show at the Congress. Classes are HUGE! Congratulations on your Congress Champion Title, Anleigh!

THEY DID IT AGAIN!

A 3-PEAT IEA NATIONAL FINALS UPPER SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM TITLE WIN FOR THE GRIER SCHOOL!

Wow, what a TRIPLE-CROWN season! The heat wave in Texas wasn't the only thing on fire at IEA Western National Finals...

The Grier School rounded out the 2022-2023 IEA season with their THIRD National Finals title yesterday at IEA Western National Finals in Fort Worth, Texas. In April of 2023, they also took home the Upper School Champion titles at IEA Hunt Seat and IEA Dressage National Finals held at Tryon International Equestrian Center in North Carolina.

Congratulations to all the Grier coaches, Chrystal Wood, Chris McElyea, Frannie King and Megan Ahlert on leading this outstanding accomplishment and to all the Grier riders in all three disciplines. (We will give you one guess as to which coach is in this photo.)

The Grier Team took home a bevy of amazing prizes including National Finals Champion Ribbons, Buckles provided by Rod's Western Palace, NRHA Morrison trophy provided by NRHA - National Reining Horse Association, Team Jackets provided by Michelle's Equestrian Solutions, headstalls provided by Bob's Custom Saddles, an engraved silver platter provided by IEA, a hanging banner provided by Schneiders, a beautiful shadowbox with championship rosette provided by Show Ribbon Wreaths, Horsemanship training materials from Josh Lyons/Lyons Legacy, Western Show Scarves by Megan, and an IEA Logo travel bag.

Today the Grier School is the only Team in IEA history to be National champions in all divisions. Hunt Seat, Dressage and Western and Anleigh has had the honor of riding with all three teams. Today, she won varsity open fences and open flat. Catie Reachard got a 4th in intermediate o/f and also won her flat! Grier needed 7 points to win and it happened! One of the most exciting victories to be apart of!
