Update — thank you everyone! We are not looking for medical diagnosis. That has been taken care of. She does not need her bladder expressed. Her former home just had a lot of puppy pads around.
Sometimes she was able to make it, and sometimes not… She just pees and poops uncontrollably.
We have contacted viable sanctuaries. What we are looking for is a home 🩷

Petunia is in a tough situation. Unfortunately, her dad has lost his home and is living in a shelter. He was forced to relinquish Petunia back to the rescue where he adopted her from. She is a friendly, sweet, loving 3 1/2 year-old kitty, used to sitting on her dad’s lap to watch TV every night. She is also incontinent. She has been to a specialist and there is nothing they can do to alleviate this situation.
The “rescue” has given him two weeks before they euthanize her. He has reached out to the local sanctuaries who care for cats with this condition, but they are full. As you can imagine, he is devastated. 
Jake’s Place does not have a facility. She definitely needs a special situation and we are just putting the word out in the hopes that someone has the ability to care for her or the connections to someone who does. Please contact us ASAP if you have any ideas, 415-548-0824.

Puck Run Amok.... I haven't taken on a foster in a few years now, due to the CRPS in my hands/arms.
However, I had to step up for this boy, for a multitude of reasons. With every rescue financially and physically overwhelmed, I appreciate AVAR allowing Puck under their umbrella. Now, I'm hoping there's some folks who will help me help him. A lot of small amounts can add up quickly. Puck is scheduled for his last surgery on Sept 7, so time is of the essence.

For my nerdy friends, if you want to know the DNA of it all, read on:
Puck is a double merle (MM). He is 46.2% Rat Terrier, 22.3% Toy Fox Terrier, and 16% Dachshund. There is 15.5% of his breed genetics too mixed to confidently identify (aka supermutt), but may contain some Chihuahua, APBT, and/or Pekingese. Most notable, his Inbreeding Coefficient is 40%. One of his parents was merle\dapple, don't know about the other. So, although it's the first thing everyone assumes, he is not an aussie mix and his color (and issues) came from his dachshund (and possibly Chihuahua) genetics.

This little cutie needs someone extra special ❤️

This is Luna and she is 10 weeks old. She has a deformity called Pectus Excavatum which means her sternum is deformed, and in Luna’s case not fused which causes her ribs to push her heart to the left. This will only get worse as she gets older and will drastically shorten her life. There is a very specialized, complicated (risky), and expensive surgery that she could have that would pull her ribs outward into a normal shape, but it is cost prohibitive for CCP. The surgery is quoted to be between $3800-5200. This is a very difficult situation for us to be in because that amount of money raised through fundraising would provide so much opportunity to expand our organization and impact so many lives, so we could not in good faith use it for one kitten only.

So what I am asking here is this: Is there an angel out there that would either provide her with a safe and spoiled indoor only life for the remainder of her days? Is there an angel out there that would cover the costs of her surgery? Could this angel be one and the same? Please private message me if this is you. Thank you from me and from Luna.
