The ending of 2023 was super busy!
1.) It was my first Christmas as a Mrs. My holidays have now doubled in company as I embrace my husband's family in my life!
2.) On December 15th I was happy to direct St. Mary's in Wrentham, MA Lessons and Carols program. It was a beautiful Spirit-ful evening with talented musicians and wonderful volunteers. It was wonderful to have close to 100 people in the audience as well! I had a blast planning the program and can't wait to do this again next year.
3.) I tried my best to see my students in their winter productions in December. Those I did see did AWESOME in their shows! I am so proud of my students for their hard work.
4.) I caroled at The Fort in Springfield, MA throughout the month as usual. I think I have all the carols memorized now. 😂
5.) I also turned 30!
Wow, what a year!

Thanksgiving is over so now it's totally 100% appropriate to bring out the CHRISTMAS TALK! Lessons and Carols at St. Mary in Wrentham, MA December 15th @ 7:00pm. Featuring the music ministries from St. Mary and St. Martha in Plainville. A reception with refreshments to follow. Be there!

A look at my setup for online vocal lessons. There is nothing too complicated happening here on my end:
🎶 A laptop
🎶 Zoom
🎶 A Blue Snowball USB microphone
🎶 A USB we**am to make my video clearer than what the laptop alone could provide
🎶 Piano
🎶 pencils, pens, and notepad for notetaking
🎶 Tissues because I have allergies
🎶 A mirror to admire my beautiful face (lol just kidding - the mirror is used with my in-person students)

The at-home teaching studio is slowly coming to fruition. I have the barebones to welcome students in my new home now at least - the space will get better as we continue to unpack!
It's super exciting to have the chance to welcome students into my own home, as for years I haven't had that option. Interested in voice or piano lessons? DM me!

At my last weekend at St. Anne St. Patrick the Adult Choir surprised me by writing a song they wrote about me. It should be noted that they preceded this song by saying, "We haven't practiced this yet." 😆
The quality of performance didn't matter. What touched me is how much this song reflects me and the work I did at St. Anne St. Patrick. Thank you choir for listening to my curated playlists. Thank you for responding (or at least absorbing) my emails. Thank you for using my beloved spreadsheets. Thank you for following my cutoffs by my head movements. I'm so proud of all of you for trying new things, developing new skills, and working together. I am happy to have contributed to your favorite things! ❤️

As was announced in last weekend's bulletin, I have made the difficult decision to resign from St. Anne St. Patrick in Sturbridge. My last Mass there as Music Director will be July 30th. In August I will begin working at St. Mary's in Wrentham, MA as their new Director of Music Ministries.
This decision process took weeks for me and my family. The next couple weeks will be hard as I transition out of a church that I have grown so close with.
On the other hand, I look forward to what lies ahead at St. Mary's.
To my private students: there will be a change in lesson location as I relocate. I will do my best to accommodate all my students during and after this to-be-determined move.

"Beautiful Savior" On this dreary and kinda chilly Saturday at the Vigil Mass, you can still hear the congregation singing along.
"Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee" and can we please pause a moment to admire Donna's shirt? That's it choir - we have a new dress code: cat shirts for everyone!

This past week we celebrated Jasmine's Gotcha Day! This cat unexpectedly became the light of my world 3 years ago. ❤️
"Taste and See" So this is actually a recording from Corpus Christi 2 weekends ago. Following this Mass we had a Eucharistic procession. What did your church do for Corpus Christi?
