This one is so good I’m gonna listen to it a few times…..I was gonna make a whole post about not wanting to talk about weaknesses on social media and the need to present yourself in a certain way, but I’m late for my workout. I’m just gonna say this podcast was so helpful to me and I bet there are a lot more people it will resonate for too. ❤️❤️
People always act surprised…. “You work out when you’re on vacation?!” Ummm that’s one of the best parts of vacation!! I love finding great gyms with amazing equipment and good vibes. The secret is to get up and get it done before anyone else wakes up, then you’re not cutting in to family time.
Let’s do this today…let’s move one step closer to the goal, whatever it is. Let’s not have this day pass us by. Not a zero progress day, not a backsliding day, but a day to do ONE thing that moves us in a positive direction. Because we can.

Still, a week later, I’m just overwhelmed with love and gratitude. You see, I’ve never been blessed with close female friends. And I didn’t care because I was so independent, I didn’t need anyone. I didn’t know what I was missing. It’s ok to be vulnerable. Having friends makes you BE a friend, which makes you a better person. There are others who couldn’t make it to be in this picture, but they were with me on this whole journey nonetheless. I thank God for putting these women in my life!!

Who wants to work out at noon? Effective Monday my 11 am class is changed to NOON! Workout times: 5 am, 6:15 am, 7:15 am, 8:15 am, noon, 4:30 pm, and 5:30 pm.

I have to share this…I have a rock star in one of my classes…. She benched a mind-boggling 175 yesterday to set a new PR. What makes it even more impressive is that she has been doing a nutrition challenge at the same time and LOSING WEIGHT. So her lifts are increasing while her body weight is decreasing, making her relative strength gains even more dramatic. This just shows how all the pieces work together. Hulk Hogan always said eat your vegetables and say your prayers, I would add also eat your protein and lift those weights!!!

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: Krickyfit now offers a 7:15 am class time! So many options now: 5 am, 6:15 am, 7:15 am, 8:15 am, 11 am, 4:30 pm, and 5:30 pm…and you can change it up to whatever works best for you that day! Classes are Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday at 7009 Nordic Drive in Cedar Falls.
had such a good point in her podcast yesterday…if you focus on being tired, it makes you more tired. Constantly thinking about how tired you are makes it worse. So today I’m replacing that mindset with positive thoughts. I’m not tired, I’m making this day my bitch.
These women, this sport, this is my motivation to work hard in the gym and do my best. It’s probably something different for you, and that’s ok! Find that visualization of what inspires you and then use it to drive you. Use it to get your butt moving on those days you don’t want to do the work. Your goal might seem far away, but if you don’t do the things you’ll never even get close.

After having some inquries about personal training, I’ve decided to open up my calendar! I will have availability Wednesdays and some Saturdays. $40 plus tax per session (one hour) must be paid at time of booking. I’m working on getting it added to the website…in the meantime, email [email protected] to set it up!

How do we achieve this mission? By creating an environment, a COMMUNITY, where you will learn how to safely and effectively lift weights. I had the best day at work today. All day, women were cheering for each other and celebrating each other’s accomplishments. No one cared what anyone was wearing or if they were stronger than anyone else. There was no drama. Actually, I have this kind of day every day. I get to watch women get stronger week after week, setting goals and achieving them, and forging new friendships in the process. But today was extra special because I got to put TWO new names on the 100-pound bench board. It’s so freaking exciting. If you’re skeptical, come see for yourself and hear how loud we cheer for you ❤️💪
