👉All too often, I hear medical professionals telling patients to rest in order to recover from various musculoskeletal problems.

🧠While a very temporary period of rest (24-48 hours) can be useful at times to allow an acute issue to calm down, the majority of our focus should be on finding ways to keep people moving by modifying aggravating movements. Research and practice both support this viewpoint, so let’s move past outdated ways of thinking about injury rehabilitation.

🔎Instead of rest, let’s focus on PEACE & LOVE…Protection, Elevation, Avoid Anti-Inflammatories, Compression, Education & Load, Optimism, Vascularization, Exercise.

Meet mentee Caroline Humberston, owner of PlayTime Movement. ✨
Caroline's passion is to create movers out of non-movers.
Her mission is to educate the community, athletes, coaches, teachers, and trainers on fundamental techniques required for perfect movement.
Caroline has rocked this program, starting her mentorship with David Brown. Now she is opening up a new business named Spine & Movement Center while working with Mentor Jerrika Brown. Holland/Springfield Chamber of Commerce will be hosting her new business Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony this Thursday, November 9th, 2023 at 3PM.
While meeting with Caroline she shared with us "This organization has been amazing when I needed guidance on things that were out of my wheelhouse of expertise. They are growing while I am growing, so there are certainly some growing pains for all of
us, but overall, I have been able to accomplish great things. They have mentors that are brilliant, patient, kind, and generous. I am blessed to know all."
