CLIENT – How much will it cost to do this job?
Detailer- $1,900.00 dollars for a full interior detail including shaping the carpets and seats and protection to all fabrics and plastics, detailing the exterior of the vehicle, performing a 2 stage Polish and ceramic coat the entire vehicle.

CLIENT – That’s too expensive for this job!
Detailer– How much do you think it should cost?

CLIENT – $300.00 max! It’s a simple job!
Detailer – I can’t do the job for so little.

CLIENT – People in your line of work always want to make a huge profit to simply vacuum a car, wash it and apply some ceramic coating real quick.
Detailer– I’m sorry you feel this way. Why don’t you do the job?

CLIENT – But, but, I don’t know how to do any of that.
Detailer– Well, for $500.00, I can teach you everything you need to know to do the job. You can then use $300.00 to do the job, and you’re still saving $1,100. Also, you will obtain all the knowledge and the experience for the next time you need to do this job.

CLIENT – Deal!
Detailer– Great! To start, you need to buy tools. You will need a vacuum,shampooer, a variety of interior and exterior brushes, various types os towels, chemicals for cleaning the interior and exterior, chemicals for protecting the interior surfaces, different compounds and polishes for the exterior, and some other things.

CLIENT – But, I don’t have any of those tools and I can’t buy all that for just one job!
Detailer– Ok. I can rent you my tools for another $300. You’re still saving $800.

CLIENT – That’s cutting my savings, but I will rent your tools.
Detailer– Perfect! I’ll be back Saturday and we can start.

CLIENT – Wait! I can’t Saturday. I only have time today.
Detailer– I’m sorry, I only teach others on Saturdays. I have to prioritize my time and my tools needs to be in other jobs I have during the week.

CLIENT – Ok then. I will sacrifice my family’s plans on Saturday.
Detailer– Right, me too! Oh, I forgot. If you’re going to do the job yourself, you need to buy the materials and ceramic coating that’s going to last more than a year. But that’s also not sold directly to consumers. Starting price of said ceramic coating is $199.99 for a 50 fluid one
Ounce bottle.

CLIENT – Oh, i can’t buy the good stuff online or directly from your supplier?
Detailer– Well, you can certainly order products online, however i can’t speak for their quality and durability. And unfortunately my distributor only distributes to qualified detailers that have undergone strict training on applying their products because their warranty and Car-Fax certification are only valid if installed by s certified installer.

CLIENT – You know what? I’ve been thinking. Probably is better for you to do the job. It’s better to pay you to do the job right and not having to go through all that hassle.
