We are so grateful to everyone who helped pump up our third graders for testing this week, to parents who provided breakfast to our staff, and these kindergarteners who brought surprises to their fellow students (3rd grade will get them back for KRA 😉)! StaleKracker visited Gulfport, Mississippi and gave River Oaks Elementary School a shout-out alongside our R.O.E. librarian, Dr. Gaines. Justin Chiasson, a.k.a. "StaleKracker," is a famous TikTok star known for his food recipes, tasty seasoning, and unique fishing and cooking techniques. River Oaks Journey students studied bird embryology and scientific inquiry while hatching and caring for chicks this spring. Students are now exploring the link between chickens and dinosaurs and will finish the unit with an art project- Faberge Eggs. -Part 2-

Fourth grade students celebrated the completion of their student teacher’s internship. Samantha Strange worked in Ms. Morris’s fourth grade ELA class from August to December to prepare for her own classroom! We are certain that Ms. Strange is destined to become a fantastic teacher!
