You will not lose your progress one your week long vacation. STOP LOSING INVALUABLE MEMORIES TO THE SCALE. Don't give an object that much power over your life. You do not exist to please other. This is life, so live it.
Enjoy a couple cocktails or desserts that you usually don't have. Go on long walks on the beach and share laughs are create memories with those you love.
Now this is not to say that you absolutely shouldn't go to the gym if you are on vacation. For some, it is a point of consistency in their routine, and it improves mental health.
So how can you tell if you should keep going or not? Ask yourself this:
If I were to miss my gym session would I feel guilty and/or look at my body in a more negative manner? Would I allow myself to eat the same things today if I go to the gym vs. if I don't?
If you feel guilt as a result of missing the gym, taking a step back just might be what the doctor has in store for you. Have fun this summer and always remember that ANY movement is good movement 💙
While there is nothing wrong with having a physique goal when you exercise, the fitness industry is hyperfocused on changing your body that we often lose sight of the vast amount of benefits that exercise has for you that has absolutely nothing to do with the way you look.

SIGNS OF A FAD DIET ➡️➡️
Fad diets are extremely desirable because of the quick results they promise AND produce, so what’s the problem with them.
‼️THEY ARE NOT SUSTAINABLE‼️
After 1 year, most people will gain all of the weight back AND SOME. This not only wreaks havoc on the body, but mental health too. Gaining the weight back leads people to believe they are the problem and the don’t have enough “will power” to resist the foods that the fad diet deemed as “bad.”
Often times, this leads people to return to these fad diets over and over, becoming increasingly hard on themselves with each cycle.
💙Break the cycle. Choose to ditch the fad diets and start building a relationship with food that you can live with forever.

Let yourself eat 1 cookie when your craving it so then you don’t feel like you need to uncomfortably overindulge when you DO have access to it.
And just like that, I’m saying goodbye to One to One.
My first day feels like yesterday 🥺 I am so grateful to all of my coworkers and clients for helping me grow as a trainer and person. I have learned so much much through working hands on with my clients, and I’m so proud of each and every one of them for investing in their health.
