All jokes aside, I’m astonished. I’ve been criticized for making an art page, I’ve been ridiculed for making music, I’ve been laughed at in groups for loving the music that makes me dance… but it has only made me question how people can shame others for such a thing.

Ever single person seeing this has helped me grow, adapt, and love. I play music, I produce, but at the route of it all, I do it for the love we share together.

Thank you all, we beat a little year end goal I had, 200 followers, and three months early. It wasn’t a set in stone time line, or a goal I’d be upset if I didn’t reach. But every single person I meet drives the point home.

I am Mr. Bobbish, and I am in love with music.

I'm pleased to present my take on an evolving genre that I've grown to love. These tracks started out of inspiration from discovering an album by FRENTE CUMBIERO- a Bogota native that specializes in refreshing Cumbia to a younger generation, mixing it with electronic elements and dub style production.

I needed to do my research, so I went back and discovered the indigenous fusion with both Afro and Latin cultures to create the instrumentation for the rhythmic backing that makes this genre so incredible. There's a notable shift that happened to the music as it was championed in Peru, with the invention of the Electric Guitar- Cumbia had a Latin surf rock sound. There's also a notable Cholombiano culture that spread through Monterrey, Mexico- a thriving counter culture that slowed old Colombian Cumbia records down to create depth and extend the records.

All this to say. I love this music. It is not mine (well these tracks are but u know what I mean). I hope this can be a gateway to a new sound for you!
