Youth ages 15-22 will embark on a journey of exploring and creating different forms of art like dance, music, poetry, photography etc! We will provide food, lodging and a $50 stipend 🫶🏽

P4E is excited to announce a second information session for our program "Elevate"! If you were not able to attend the first session here is your chance. If you attended the first session you do not need to attend this one. We are looking to support the creation, growth, sustainability and overall EXPANSION of local immigrant and BIPOC led business across the Triangle (RDU). If you are an undocumented young person, a current BIPOC business owner, or someone interested in creating a business, please consider filling out our interest form. We will select up to 100 individuals to support in this journey!

We continue to honor with Jeymi and Cecilia, immigrant community organizers leading the work at Pupusas For Education . As they transform the organization to its new name "People for Equity," learn more about how they support scholarships and youth with a focus on mental health. Are you a young person with a passion for music? Do you know or have any youth with interests in Rapping, Beat Making, DJ'ing, Performing, or even Videography/Photography? SWIM, HRT-DURHAM, and Pupusas 4 Education (Collectively Known as The People For Equity) have come together to offer a series of Artist development sessions for Durham youth! No matter the level of experience, we are cultivating a space where youth/young adults can be hands on and learn more about the different aspects of Musical Artistry, Performance Artistry, Engineering/Editing, etc.

Sessions will be held at "The Portal Studios". We are hosting a total of 10 youth studio sessions (plus a end of program showcase!!!) The first session is scheduled for Saturday October 28th 2023 from 12p-5p.

For any questions or concerns txt/call (Mr.) Poet Williams at 919-928-1357 ¿Eres un joven apasionado por la música? ¿Conoce o tiene algún joven interesado en rapear, crear ritmos, pinchar, actuar o incluso videografía/fotografía? SWIM, HRT-DURHAM y Pupusas 4 Education (conocidos colectivamente como The People For Equity) se han unido para ofrecer una serie de sesiones de desarrollo artístico para los jóvenes de Durham. No importa el nivel de experiencia, estamos cultivando un espacio donde los jóvenes/adultos jóvenes pueden participar y aprender más sobre los diferentes aspectos del arte musical, arte interpretativo, ingeniería/edición, etc.¡También exploraremos "Cómo la justicia restaurativa y la salud mental se conectan con la música y el arte" en el panorama actual!

Las sesiones se llevarán a cabo en "The Portal Studios” Estamos organizando un total de 10 sesiones de estudio para jóvenes (¡¡más una exhibición de fin de programa!!!) La primera sesión está programada para el sábado 28 de octubre de 2023 de 12 p.m. a 5 p.m.
