On Tuesday, November 16, the #Vermont Coalition for #Equity in #Cannabis, met for a #community conversation to discuss the numerous recommendations they provided to the Cannabis Control Board and how these #socialequity suggestions remain unaddressed. The National Association of Cannabis Businesses, an out of state consultant hired by the Vermont Cannabis control board, will be conducting a series of Social Equity Town Halls gathering and then compiling recommendations that will provide the Cannabis control board with a post town hall meeting report. Both in person and virtual, the first meeting was Thursday November 18 in #Winooski and the second on Saturday November 20 in #Waterbury on Saturday. The full #AdvisoryCommittee to the Cannabis Control Board convened Friday November 19 to begin discussing some of the Board's drafted rules. The meetings are open for the public to attend in person or available online, always with opportunity for public comment, though few #vermonters have taken advantage of this option. Vermonters, the time is now to #speakup up even if your voice shakes.

Every good cultivation operation has an IPM plan. What’s IPM you say? It’s integrated pest management and is a set of tiered steps to managing a clean, pest free operation. It all starts with scouting, and knowing IF pests exist and which ones. IF harmful pests are detected people employ beneficial insects. Good bugs, per say, that attack and eat the harmful pests. We however don’t wait until a pest is detected and at what level. We employ beneficials on a regular and routine basis. This is called augmented beneficial release and we use a variety of bugs from green lacewings, predator mites, beetles, assassin bugs, and minute pirate bugs which are being applied in this video. Our approach is simple, keep it simple and work within the natural framework that nature has provided us. We don’t believe in the use of chemicals in cannabis cultivation and so this approach is best suited for our goals. It is far better to be proactive than having to be reactive! This is a beautiful example of some sungrown Forbidden Fruit. (My personal medical cannabis) This cultivar is a cross between Tangie and Cherry Pie. Grown in living soil with nothing but the best intentions and practices. Ferments, minerals, compost and microbial applications timed with a few top dressings were the only soil applications. Grown in full sun, mild wind and a 3 year old 100 gallon soil bag. This plant was a wonderfully easy one to cultivate. Thank you @colonel.forbins.cannabis for the cut! Thick stalks that stretch skyward with a relatively open canopy and a great node spacing. She’s a heavy yielder with large multicolored dense nuggets. Notes of tropical fruitiness, citrus and pine round out this particular phenotype.
