Only about 20% of our member base does this on a regular basis. And guess whatโ€ฆitโ€™s our barre stars (who reach their attendance goals year round!) Planning = productivity.โฃ โฃ 2) Stay accountable by working out with a friend, and/or announcing your workouts. โ€˜Publicizingโ€™ your goals keeps you more outwardly accountable. Or try communicating your challenge goals to your partner, or a friend/family member.โฃ โฃ 3) Give yourself grace. Our biggest roadblock is typically our own negative self-talk. Fitness is truly about the journey, not the outcome. Focus on how each class makes you feel to keep going strong!โฃ โฃ Whatโ€™s your personal goal? Hereโ€™s 3 ways you can do one of our favorite thigh series, Diamond, in class.โฃ โฃ 1) Bodyweight: No equipment needed. Focus on driving your toes into the ground with each lift and tuck to create resistance. Squeeze your heels high and together to push the weight into your inner quads. Open the knees back against a strong torso/abs to wrap the work into your outer thighs.โฃ 2) Lower body equipment: Same cues as #1, but increase the intensity through a resistance tube or pilates ball, to create greater tension in the target muscles.โฃ 3) Lower + upper body equipment: Same cues as #2, but here we add a โ€˜full bodyโ€™ element by incorporating a Bala bangle or free weight in the outside arm, and/or adding a balance check to further engage the core muscles.โฃ โฃ What version did you do this week?
