This year marks a significant milestone for us – it’s our 20th anniversary! We’ve been blessed with a number of wonderful employees throughout the years, and we wanted to highlight a few of them.

Meet Ronnie Harman. He’s a jack of all trades and currently works as the Maintenance Department Supervisor. Ronnie started working on a few projects with a contractor at the plant in 1996 before it became FPL Food. As he wrapped up projects with the contractor, he realized he wanted to stick around and do more. We’re proud to say that Ronnie has been with FPL Food for it’s entire 20 years!

His day in and day out duties include building and grounds maintenance. Whether he’s working on equipment or cutting grass, he’s ready to tackle any challenge head on.

“My favorite part of FPL is the people. There’s so many wonderful employees who are all working to make this place a success, and it’s a pleasure to be here alongside them. My favorite part of my job is training new people to do what I do - it brings a thrill.”

This year marks a significant milestone for us – it’s our 20th anniversary! We’ve been blessed with a number of wonderful employees throughout the years, so over the coming months, we wanted to highlight a few of them.

Meet Melodi Bacote. She’s a wiz on our sales team, especially when it comes to trim. Melodi joined the FPL Food team in 2014, and she’s been an asset since day one. She’s able to work with customers to ensure that families across the globe have delicious meals on their dinner table. Most of the product she sells goes to be made into burgers for fast food chains, restaurants, and grocery stores. One of her favorite parts about her job is building relationships with customers outside of work and the networking opportunities within the industry.

“There is so much potential for growth, and I’m eager to see what the future has in store for us. I am excited for the opportunity to continue growing relationships with our customers. When I started ten years ago, our owner, Francois, had a vision, and I appreciate that our team works hard to achieve those goals together.”

It’s no easy task to get a photo of a bull - imaging trying to get photos of 130 bulls. Everything has to be in the perfect position - head, ears, and feet.

It takes a village to put on a successful Bull Sale, and the Châtel Farms team is underway with their preparation. The Sale takes place the first Saturday in November each year, and it takes months of work to get ready for the Annual event.

The past two weeks, the crew has been taking photos for the catalog for buyers to see the offerings that are available for sale. Châtel Farms puts a great deal of focus on their genetics so they can provide farmers and ranchers across the country with cattle that will improve their herds.

We hope to see you at the Châtel Farms Bull Sale on Saturday, November 2 at the farm in Reidsville.

This year marks a significant milestone for us – it’s our 20th anniversary! We’ve been blessed with a number of wonderful employees throughout the years, so over the coming months, we wanted to highlight a few of them.

Meet Angela Duncan. Angela joined the FPL Food team in 2008 as the Accounting Manager, and is currently serving as our Treasurer. She’s responsible for cash management, and is an integral part of our accounting team. She works hard each day (and sometimes nights) to ensure that FPL continues to grow. We are so thankful for Angela’s dedication to the company – it is a pleasure to have her smiling face as part of the FPL family!

“I’ve had the opportunity to see this company evolve and overcome challenges. Our owner, Francois, truly cares about each employee here, no matter their position. He appreciates the work that everyone puts in to keep the company growing. It’s a blessing to be a part of FPL’s story, and I am eager to see what the next 20 years bring.”
