Bambi!! This good girl has been working on her leash walking skills with Alyce Devlin. Bambi was quite fearful when she came to us from living her whole life in a shelter but she has blossomed. On the day this video was taken she had her first taxi ride. She was a little unsure at first but took right to it! We think Bambi is likely a mix of Greyhound perhaps with Labrador. She is gentle with humans and with other dogs and we dearly hope she will be adopted by someone willing and able to commit to her forever. Photos in comments.
Mia was tethered to our front gate with a wire around her neck a few months ago when she was still a puppy. She is extremely sweet and has the softest fur. She’s at that stage where everything has to go in her mouth and often gets chewed up, so we do the best to distract her in the other puppies and young adults and particular with lots of Kong and Nylabone toys. She a lovely and loving dog who is ready for adoption to someone who will enjoy and positively direct her zest for life! Mia is sponsored by Gina Thompson Miller.
Gianna ala Gigi is named after Stacy Rotondo’s nice and sponsored by Helen Shiner. We rescued Gigi several months ago after people in the neighborhood where she appeared as a stray, threatened to poison her. By the time we found out about her plate, Gigi had been hit by a car and had her hip knocked out of joint. Her body formed a false joint and although her gait is a bit off, she runs and plays without any issues and does not appear to have any pain. After examining and x-raying her, the veterinarian did not suggest a knee surgery because it could cause more problems. Gigi is about 16 months old and ready for adoption. She’s a sweet and playful girl who appears to be a shepherd cross.
