Shunda Jenkins
Hello I’m Shunda! I share how to take care of yourself holistically with food, meditation, & yoga.
Happy Monday 😀
How you start your day is so important. Remember to prepare yourself by eating something to fuel your day. Then maybe invite some light movement such as a yoga flow or a walking in nature.
Afterwards…set your intentions for the rest of your day. Speak positivity over every interaction then affirm and believe.
Today I’m having this delicious chocolate superfood smoothie packed with protein and superfoods.
Chocolate PB Superfood Smoothie
1 tsp Ancestral Roots Reishi Powder
2 Tbsp Navitas Cacao Powder
2 Pitted Medjool Dates
1 Ripe Banana
2 tbsp Santa Cruz Dark Creamy Peanut Butter Spread
1 Cup Good Karma Foods Unsweetened Vanilla Flaxmilk + protein
Affrimation for today: I am healed..I am whole..I am complete 💕
Zucchini Noodles are so versatile. I love using them as a substitute for noodles when creating raw meals. Like this raw pesto pasta using zucchini paired with sundried tomatoes, massaged spinach, and arugula, mixed with a magnesium rich pesto dressing.

Last Year leading to my birthday I went Raw Vegan for 30 days. It was a challenge learning about raw food and how to make recipes without heating them. The more I created recipes, it got simpler. After that, I started back on my plant-based vegan diet but raw vegan has been on my mind.
Here lately I been eating breakfast and lunch raw and cooked dinner due to having a family who are not ready to go raw, it’s easier that way. At least that’s what I tell myself.
Sometimes in life we feed ourselves these lies for why we do things instead of doing the things that you want to do. Maybe it’s going on a raw vegan diet fully or maybe it’s deciding to move to that place. Fear could be the reason why, or guilt of finally doing something that matters to you for once.
Whatever it may be, do it in spite of it. Embrace the unknown. Whatever is calling you…trust me it wants you as bad as you want it to 💕
Today I decided to go 100% raw vegan and this is my breakfast. I will still share my cooked recipes of course because my family isn’t raw but there will be more raw recipes showing up on my feed. Stay tune.….❤️

Long Motivation post…
What Is Motivation? We can say that motivation is the driving force behind the actions and your general willingness to do something.
A curious thing about motivation is that it often comes after you start taking action.
It is why we can't just sit around and wait for motivation to come to knock on the door because motivation is often the result of action and not its cause.
When I want to do something instead of waiting until I feel like it, I force myself to do it. So, if you been motivated to learn more about my vegan cooking classes or interested in buying my vegan cheesecakes & meal preps soon 😊 (local customers), DM me on social media. Let’s schedule a time to talk.
Remember if we want something different to change in our life, we first must be willing to do something different, new results come from different choices. The same results come from the same actions, lets make 2022 the year of new results.
Easy day for this Momma 😊

Dinner
I’m playing around with the simplicity of just seeing vegetables on the plate with minimal ingredients. Though this plate seem simple it’s packed with flavor.
Quote of the week!
Vegan is more than a diet…it's a lifestyle.
Its not about what we eat as vegans, it's everything that is effected due to choosing this lifestyle.
When we go vegan as a society we essentially are benefiting the animals, planet, and our health, that's true global impact.
So, the next time you think that you are just a vegan, remember you are more than that. Your actions are creating a powerful change and that’s your superpower. 💪🏽
It’s official !!!
I have been waiting to share this exciting new
I have an in person location for my vegan 🌱 cooking class. I have partnered with Plate 108
Be on the look out for plant-based classes on the calendar and of course private classes is always an options 😉
The greatest investment is the investment in ourselves. Currently taking raw chef classes to learn more about raw vegan food.
If you didn’t already know this about me I love dessert. Most importantly I love making recipes that are dessert but healthier for the body.
The first vegan dessert I ever made did not look like this 😂 but the more I practice and invest in training from the best raw chefs, I improve.
PS: This is a recipe I learned while training in the raw class. My original will be shared soon
Happy Tuesday
Remember Today: Practice makes progress. Whenever my children are learning something new I quickly remind them that practice makes process. It’s not about being a perfectionist because you’re always learning and growing that’s life.
Whatever habit you want to create. Whatever skill you want to master. Rather it’s establishing a healthy exercise regimen. Honing your photography skills or becoming a better cook. Practice daily and be consistent. Consistency is the key word to anything you want to achieve. Choose one task, work at it diligently, master it, and never stop looking for ways to improve.
That’s the journey to true alchemy ❤️

In person cooking classes coming soon 😊

Happy Self-Care Sunday remember what we put in the body is a form of self care it’s OK to have a doughnut or a cookie but it’s not OK to allow that to be 80% of your diet focus on that 80% and then the 20% well there’s nobody business ❤️

I am so proud of my self…I have been working on perfecting the flavor of a vegan No cheesecake for a while. Before I started experimenting…I tried recipe after recipe..no luck…then one day I started adding ingredients to the blender and before I knew it I created the perfect crust and filling 🤤
I did a happy dance inside. 🕺
Now that the flavor is mastered I am experimenting with flavoring like the strawberry No cheesecake in the picture and of course working on my decorating skills 😊
Now back to the kitchen I go…. ❤️
Easy Night 😅

Happy Valentine to the man that makes life such an enjoyable experience. Being able to experience life daily with my husband is truly a blessing. Before I met my husband I was content with being with myself and loving myself.
That’s when I met him. Him…the man that has always showed me respect. The man that allows me to be myself…never judges me. The man that goes above and beyond for me. The man that loves and appreciate me. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a dream and that if you pinch me I may wake up. But until then…I am going to enjoy this wonderful experience. ❤️❤️❤️
There are great people in this world. People that will truly love, respect, and appreciate you. You will find the one…and you will know why all the others didn’t work out.
Happy Valentine to you all. May you take time today to love on yourself and the people in your life.

I came a long way…most people wouldn’t know but I suffered years from depression and what helped me was exercise and eating healthier. After discovering that our mind and gut has a connection everything made since. When I ate the wrong foods it effected me mentally and that’s when the light bulb went off.
I decided to use my platform to educate my community on using food as medicine through plant-based cuisine. Not because of what science says…it’s what I know from my own experiences.
That why I share my daily recipes. Thats why I go live with my cooking videos. That why I share the research from peer reviews. That’s why I share the benefits of eating healthier, the 80/20 concept because I know how good it does the body.
Being able to use my platform for food education is dear to me..and I want to say thank you to all who have been affected by my movement.
Love you all ❤️❤️❤️
If you’re feeling tired today try this exercise…
get out a sheet of paper and write down everything you ate yesterday including water or beverage intake. Now write down the sleep quality that you received the night before.
Our bodies use the energy from our food the day before. That’s why when runners train for a race they consume certain meals at night to ensure optimum performance for their race the next morning.
We truly are the feelings of what we eat…so if you want to feel alive and energized it starts with what you consume 80% of your day ❤️

Remember Today: Acknowledge your progress. Every task you complete that puts you one step closer to completing your goals, acknowledge it. You might not be in that new house you want, or loss that weight you been struggling to lose, or finish paying off your credit card debt, acknowledge your progress because you’re one step closer to being there. Life is a journey and you have to learn sit back and watch how far you have come.

11 years and ten birthdays later. Happy Birthday to my husband.
When we met, he told me that he was not big on birthdays. I remember the first year that we were together, I planned an extravagant birthday surprise.
I planned to take him to the mountains, hang out at a casino, and eat delicious food. Unfortunately, his birthday is during winter season, and it snowed.
As we traveled up the mountain in our tiny mini cooper, the snow came down, and then it got heavier, until the point where we could not make it up the mountain. We got stuck on the side of the road on his birthday. There was a team of people rescuing everyone out of the snow, and they saw us, and picked us up.
They took us to this run-down overpriced hotel and that's how we spent his birthday weekend. Stuck in a hotel, eating vending machine food, and continental breakfast that seems uneatable.
Ever since that day, I vowed to make his birthday special. Though his first birthday was a train wreck, all his others has made up for it.
So happy birthday to the man that keeps me smiling. He is respectful, loving, and treats me with kindness. Today is his day. Now it’s time to spoil him ❤️
