Please ask
If you have any injury prevention questions please leave a common down below or private message me (my details are on the current page) I would be happy to answer them.
Tristan Griffiths
32%
A 2016 Meta-analysis reported structured injury prevention programmes reduced injury rates by 32% compared to the control and normative practice.
Common training trends within these programmes were muscular strength, proprioceptive balance, and flexibility improvement.
Take home message
No matter the risk level of your sports actions can be taken to prevent injuries from happening in the first place.

The different types of injury risk factors
Non-modifiable Injury risk factors (things we cannot change)
E.g. previous injury, Rapid growth (Lloyd, & Oliver, 2019)
Partially-modifiable (things we have some control over)
E.g. Fatigue, early specialisation and training volume (Lloyd, & Oliver, 2019)
Modifiable Injury risk factors (things we can change)
E.g. Neuromuscular control, frontal plane control, quadriceps dominance, asymmetry, pre-activation, dynamic balance (Lloyd, & Oliver, 2019)

Why do we screen our athletes?
